EXT LITTLE HOMEWORLD DAY
There are gems and humans and Onion and lots of blooming plant life. It’s a beautiful warm day with thermals all around the buildings.
Peridot and Lapis are walking down the street of Little Homeschool.
PERIDOT: Lapis please. You know the Mahabharata is inarguably the greatest adventure of the ancient human texts.
LAPIS: I dunno, I really liked Fate/Zero.
STEVEN: Um guys?
Both gems react with surprise and delight. It’s their friend, STEVEN UNIVERSE! He looks a little tired but otherwise exactly the same as his model sheet as usual.
LAPIS: Steven!
Lapis flies across the street at FTL speed, almost killing Ronaldo and his girlfriend who are carrying a piano together with Mr Smiley. Peridot scuttles under it after Lapis.
PERIDOT: Steven!
STEVEN: Hey guys, sorry to bother you. Either of you know where Bismuth is?
LAPIS: No idea.
STEVEN: Cool, thanks.
LAPIS: How was Kansas?
PERIDOT: For the last time, it’s pronounced “Kansas”.
STEVEN: Kansas was ok. Just busy. Weirdly enough, it made me miss Beach City. More than I expected to.
LAPIS: Makes sense. Beach City misses you.
PERIDOT: And Little Homeschool!
STEVEN: Yeah…
LAPIS: So why were you looking for Bismuth?
Steven gets a little sheepish.
STEVEN: I broke the house coming home. There’s uhhhh not much room to park in, uhhh, the living room. Well, now there is, I guess.
PERIDOT: We can help you find her!
LAPIS: Yeah! I’ll look from the sky!
Lapis flies into the air above the school. It’s a sunny day, so there are warm thermals up there.
STEVEN: Thanks guys but I’m
PERIDOT: Hey Bismuth! Guess who dropped by Little Homeworld!
Peridot is talking on her tablet but holding it like a phone.
She shakes her head.
PERIDOT: No.
Bismuth’s voice can be heard faintly yelling “STEVEN?” through Peridots tablet.
The warp noise goes off and Bismuth appears. She runs over to give Steven a hug.
BISMUTH: Steven!! Long time no hey there!
STEVEN: Yeah hi Bismuth!
PERIDOT: He needs you to fix Pearl’s house!
Steven winces.
STEVEN; Yeah I overshot the warp and kinda…. drove the car off the deck….Dad tried his best but I think we need your help to put it back. I think he made it more broken actually.
Bismuth sighs.
BISMUTH: Guess my work is never done with you guys.
STEVEN: Sorry, Bismuth.
Bismuth pats him on the head.
BISMUTH: It happens, buddy. So good to see ya!
STEVEN: Likewise Bismuth.
Lapis zips down from the sky toward them. She and Bismuth high five as she lands.
LAPIS: Found her!
BISMUTH: Haha hey Lapis.
Peridot nudges Steven and gives him a wink.
PERIDOT: You’re welcome!
Steven thumbs ups her.
STEVEN: Wow thanks Peridot.
