“There you are! Adora said you’d be right down!” Glimmer said through a mouthful of sundae, as Catra prowled into the dining hall for a cool summer evening’s desert. “And where is Adora anyway? I thought you’d be coming with her?”
Catra stretched and sat down next to them, cheerfully taking up a bowl and spoon and piling up ice cream without so much as a moment’s hesitation. “Sorry,” she said, without the slightest suggestion from her tone that she was actually sorry, “I was... doing stuff.”
“... what kind of stuff?” Bow said warily.
“Adora stuff.” Catra flashed them a fanged grin. “You could say she’s... tied up at the moment.”

Adora sat cross-legged on the floor of their room, socks up to her calves, and her hands picking delicately at the matted mess of string in front of her. “Catra, I swear, I am gonna kill you...” Adora muttered as she desperately tried to untangle her shoelaces. “Why couldn’t you ever tie knots like this back in survival training? Is it the leftmost first, or is it... ugh...”
