Bringing A Pack Together

Summary:

With the end of school year coming the teens have some plans for the summer. But first a certain Argent wants to hold a meeting with the pack. How will they all handle coming face to face with the hunters that hurt them?

Notes:

This chapter is a day in the life of Stiles while the pack is on lock down for the full moon.

Chapter Text

Today was Tuesday, May 17th , at 2:51am tonight the full moon would be at its zenith. But with so little control Isaac, Boyd, Erica and Jackson were on lock down at Derek’s loft. The week before Stiles and Lydia had done a make-over on the room/cell they would be staying in. There were soft pallets on the floor, made of pillows and enough blankets to make the princess in that one tale happy. Even though the Betas would be chained down they would have a nice place to lay.

Stiles sat in Econ 101 watching the clock as Coach Finstock droned on. He was texting the Betas along with Derek and Peter, he wanted hourly up dates form each. They had agreed to keep him up to date on the condition that he stay away from the loft, going straight home after school.

As an added per-caution Peter went behind his back, telling his dad about what an out of control Beta was like. He even took his car keys back so Stiles could not drive, since his Jeep was still in the shop. If he heard ‘waiting on parts’ one more time he was going to go bat-shit craze. The only good thing was that his dad took the night off so he could help distract his son.

“Bilinski!”

Flailing his arms Stiles sat up in his seat. “Yes Coach?”

“You want to tell me to what extent should the government intervene in the market?”

“Well that depends Coach, free market economists argue that government intervention should be strictly limited as government intervention tends to cause an inefficient allocation of resources. However, others argue there is a strong case for government intervention in different fields, such as externalities, public goods and monopoly power.” Stiles smiled at his Coach.

“Greenberg!” Coach Finstock turned to his new target. “What is the difference between micro and macroeconomics?”

This was only second period, it was going to be a long day. The shining knight that saved him was Scott. He talked to Stiles in every class they had together, found him at his locker between the classes they didn’t. Eating lunch was like old times when it was just the two of them. When ever Stiles would start to worry about the other Betas Scott would ask him about what movies they should watch at the next pack meeting. They were debating if they should go romcom like Princess Bride or action like the new Pirates of the Caribbean.

Right now they sat in the library, having gotten detention from Mr. Harris, for talking. Scott was giving Allison moon eyes, she was there for texting Lydia in class. Lydia sat next to Allison reading on her phone. There were three other kids sitting at the tables, that Stiles didn’t know.

“Put your phone away Miss Martin.” Mrs. Miller spoke as she entered the room. “You will be doing your home work for the next forty-five minutes. So get out your books and get to work.” She pulled an egg timer out of her bag, set it then placed in on the table in front of her.

The time went by quickly, both Stiles and Lydia finishing their work, while Scott and Allison seemed to not get anything done. With only two weeks of school left most of the next few weeks would be testing and finals. When the timer went off everyone jumped into action, stuffing their things in backpacks and leaving as fast as possible.

As soon as Stiles was outside he saw his dad standing by his cruiser, parked next to a familiar looking SUV. The four teens headed for the vehicles, Lydia dug in her bag pulling out the keys to Jackson’s Porsche. Allison and Scott stopped behind her fathers SUV, while Stiles went to the passenger side door of the cruiser.

“Scott?” When he didn’t get a response, Stiles shouted. “Scott!”

“What?”

“Are you going to be good tonight.” Stiles ask.

“Stiles I have control, I’ll be fine.” Scott grumbled.

“Dude, your wolf is talking a bit.”

“Scott you had me lock you in a freezer the last full moon.” Allison looked at Scott with worried eyes. “At Isaac’s.”

“That’s how that got broken? That was a sealed crime scene, Scott.” Noah gives the teen his disappointed father look.

“Breaking out of a locked freezer doesn’t sound like control to me.” Chris remarked.

“I only broke out to save Allison from the Kanima.” Scott took a step forward, but stepped back at Chris’s hard glare.

“Dad.” Allison put a hand on her father’s arm.

“Scott it might be good if you go somewhere for the night.” Noah watched the scene in front of him.

Chris took a deep breath. “You could stay at our house tonight. I have a room in the basement that can hold a werewolf.”

“You mean you have a cell that can hold a werewolf.” Stiles interjected.

“And where is Derek holding his Betas tonight?” Chris challenges.

“Lyds’ and I did the room up. It’s full of pillows, comforters and even a few bean bag chairs.” Stiles smiled at the strawberry blonde.

“It’s a cell with a kids pallet on the floor.” Lydia flipped her hair over her shoulder.

Stiles let out an indignant squawk at her words.

“At least mine has a cot.” Chris fix his gaze on Scott. “So how about it?”

“Do I have to be lock in there all night?” Scott glanced up at the older Hunter.

“No, just from midnight till six in the morning.” Chris eyed the boy.

Thinking for a few moments Scott peered over at Stiles. “I think it’s a good idea, Buddy.” Then he turned and whispered. “It would keep you close to your anchor.”

Smiling Scott nodded. “Okay, I’ll just call my mom to let her know what’s going on.”

With that decided Scott, Allison and Chris got into the SUV. Lydia headed to Jackson’s Porsche, while Stiles and Noah got into the cruiser.

Once they got to the house Noah knew he would have his work cut out for him, keeping Stiles distracted. He had watched his son text non-stop from the school all the way the house. Walking to the dinning room Noah just hopped that what Peter had given him worked. He took the brown paper package into the living room.

“This is for you, from Peter.” Noah handed Stiles the unassuming parcel, as he come back down the stairs.

Contemplating the thing in his hands, Stiles shrugged tearing into the paper. Then he gasped, eyes wide. “No way.”

Noah could see the excitement in his son’s eyes. “He said you have to give it back to him in the morning when he brings you back the Accord.” He scrutinize the book in Stiles’s hands. “What’s that?”

“It’s a Grimoire.” At Noah’s arched eyebrow Stiles clarified. “An ancient book of spells.” Then laughed at his dad’s panicked look.

“Stiles I don’t want you doing anything that might damage the house.” Noah pointed at his son.

Smiling Stiles reassured his dad. “Most spells need herbs or other things to work and all that stuff is at the loft.” He held up the Grimoire. “This is just for me to study.”

Noah watched his son volt over the back of the couch, sitting in the middle crossing his legs and placing the book on them. Shaking his head he went into the kitchen to start making dinner. Forty-five minutes later he called that the food was ready, after the third time he walked into the living room. Stiles was texting and reading while a game played on the TV.

Putting a hand over his son’s eyes he said. “Stiles, dinner is ready. Come and eat.”

Looking up Stiles grinned at his dad. “Okay pops. I’ll be right in.”

“No, now.”

Peter was tired, spending the whole night trying to keep four young betas calm had taken a tole. Stiles had texted him until three a.m. Now it was seven in the morning and he was driving to the Stilinski home. Stiles would need the Accord to get to school.

Smiling Peter knew that ‘Roscoe’ would be in the shop for another three to four weeks. He went to Armor Tire and Service Center the day after it was towed there. Paying for new breaks, tires, and to have the engine overhauled. They were also to call him (not Stiles) if anything else came up. He knew it was going to cost him at least another three grand but it was worth it to know his Mate was driving something safe.

Pulling into the drive way, next to the Sheriff’s cruiser, Peter got out heading for the door. Knocking he could hear someone moving around the first floor, it was the Sheriff, the heart beat was to slow to be Stiles. Tilting his head he could hear a slow heart beat on the second floor.

When the door opened he sighed. “I will need to wake him.” The Sheriff just stepped to the side letting Peter pass, with out a word.

When he got to the teen’s room, Peter froze at the sight in front him. Stiles was asleep on the floor, his cheek was pressed into the carpet, arms stretched above his head, ass in the air. (If he was doing yoga the pose would be the extended puppy.) Peter could not resist the temptation, he prowled across the room and brought his hand down on Stiles’s ass, hard.

The boy yelped failing his arms and legs trying to get away from the pain. Peter knew that Stiles would have a red hand print on his ass for a few hours, if not the whole day. “I told you to be up by seven.” He glanced down at his watch. “It’s half past.”

“Fuck you, Peter.” Stiles rubbed his ass. “I was up till five.”

Leaning over the boy Peter let his eyes flash their unnatural blue. “I have not slept in over a day.” Standing back up he straightened his shirt. “Now I would like you to drive me back to the loft so I can get some rest and you can get to school.” Leaving the room Peter went back down the stairs to wait for the teen.

Going into the kitchen to fix Stiles a cup of coffee he saw the Sheriff, eating a bowl of cereal. “Morning Sheriff.”

Swallowing the bite in his mouth Noah replied. “Call me, Noah. What was that cracking sound.”

“I slapped Stiles on the ass.” Smirking Peter poured coffee into a to go mug. “He might not be able to sit right for the rest of the day.”

Sighing Noah shook his head. “You're never going to get him to trust you if you keep pulling that shit.”

“I can only be myself, Noah.” Peter add sugar, milk and creamer to the mug.

A couple minutes later Stiles stumbled into the room, Peter’s Grimoire in hand. “I’m not going to be able to sit for a week.” He whined handing Peter the Antiquarian. Peter handed Stiles the to go cup. “I think I love you.” He told the wolf, taking a large swig of the coffee.

“Stiles, try to stay out of detention the rest this week.” Noah eyed his son.

“Sure thing daddy’o.” Stiles gave his dad a one armed hug, then headed for the door. “Will everyone be at school today?”

It took Peter a moment to answer because he had been openly staring at the teen’s ass. As his wolf prowled around inside him preening at having it’s Mate say he loved him. “Ah, no it was a ruff night. They need to sleep it off.”

“So a night of drinking without the drinking.” Stiles shrugged.

~~~
The drive to the pack loft only took twenty minute, Beacon Hills was not that big. Pulling into the underground parking lot, Stiles expected Peter to get out with a snide comment. What he saw when he looked over at the wolf was that he had fallen asleep. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his phone, taking a few pictures of the sleeping werewolf. He looked much younger, his face lax in sleep, mouth slightly open.
Then just to be a pain he tucked the cell away and hit the horn. Peter’s eyes flew open, flashing their supernatural blue and he growled. Stiles couldn’t help the laugh that escaped him. “We’re here, Zombiewolf.”
“I can see that.” Peter gritted through his teeth.
“Oh, don’t be like that, it’s not my fault you fell asleep.” Stiles smiled.
“If you text any of us before school is over I will rip out your liver.” Peter’s grin was all teeth, very pointy teeth.
“Understood.” Stiles nodded his heart kicking up a notch.
The rest of the day drug by so slowly Stiles thought he was going to go mad, and his throbbing ass cheek didn’t help. He knew from all the texts the night before, that around midnight all the teens had shifted into their Beta forms. Though they had better control then Peter had hopped for, it would be six months to a year before they could go a whole full moon without shifting.
Jackson had picked a fight with Isaac, then Boyd. He made biting remarks until Erica attacked him, he even tried to get into a brawl with Peter. With it being his first full moon it had gone better then Stiles thought it would. He figured that they would all try to kill each other, like Scott had tried to kill him.
Now at the end of the day Stiles was torn between going to the mechanic to see if he could get Roscoe back sooner. Or going straight to the loft to check on his pack. He was also worried about Scott, having not seen his friend all day. He had ask Allison and she said that he went home to get some sleep, it wasn’t until lunch that he had even gotten a text from the wolf.
As he walked to Peter’s Accord he could see Allison and Lydia coming across the parking lot towards him. “I need to talk to you.” Allison gave him what he would call failed puppy eyes, or maybe that was just because he didn’t like her much right now.
But he would give her another chance, they were letting Peter have a second chance after all. So Stiles plastered a smile on his face and ask. “What can I do for you?”
“I need to apologize to your pack for what happened last month.” Allison shifted from foot to foot.
Stiles could not believe what he was hearing. “What?”
“You heard her Stiles.” Lydia remarked.
“No, I did. It’s just.” Stiles moved his hands around like he could pull the words out of the air. “What brought this on?”
“My dad made me go to a therapist that is in the know. Dr. Morris said I should try to make amends where I can.” Allison plays with the hem of her shirt as she spoke.
“But why come to me?”
“You’re the pack’s Emissary. It’s your job to help settle disputes and broker peace treaties.” Lydia looked at Stiles like he was slow.
Nodding Stiles bit his thumb. “Okay, but.” He waited for the brunette to look at him. “Maybe you should wait for a couple weeks. It might not be such a good idea to go the day after a full moon.”
“But?” Allison started to argue.
“If you wait one week I will go with you and stand by your side.” Stiles watched the huntress chew on her lip.
Taking a deep breath Allison nodded. “Okay.”
He watched the pair walk over to Jackson’s Porsche, once they were out of sight he jumped into the Accord, racing towards the loft. He needed to talk to Peter and Derek about the possible shit storm that was coming their way. This was not something he could just put off telling his pack. Pulling into the underground parking lot Stiles got out running to the lift. He bounced on the balls of his feet on the slow crawl to the seventh floor. As soon as the doors were open he was stumbling into the loft. Looking around he saw six pairs of eyes on him.
“I need to talk to you two.” Stiles pointed to Peter and Derek.
“Is everything okay?” Peter was eyeing Stiles with concern.
Taking a breath Stiles tried to slow his racing heart. “I’m fine. We just need to talk.”
Derek nodded his toward the small balcony without a word. Peter motioned for Stiles to follow their Alpha. Immediately after the door closed behind the trio Derek rounded on Stiles. “What did you do?”
Stiles stared at the Alpha gob-smacked, his mouth opening and closing a couple times before he found his words. “I came here to tell you that Allison wants to apologize to the pack. So it wasn’t just sprung on you. And you think I’ve done something. Wow, just wow.”
“Why does she want to apologize?” Derek crossed his arms over his muscled chest.
“To make amends.” Stiles states.
“Why should we even give her the chance?” Peter raised an eyebrow.
“Because we shouldn’t be two faced. I mean we gave you a second chance and you killed seven people.” Stiles turned towards the Alpha. “Come on Sourwolf, we just have to hear her out.”
Derek huffed at the nickname. “As Peter said this pack is a democracy, so we will need to vote on it.”
Stiles’s shoulder fell, he knew what his pack thought about the Argent’s. Walking back into the loft he could see the other teens eyeing him. Walking over to the living area he stood in the middle of the lose circle of werewolves. “I guess you heard what I said?” It wasn’t really a question, even though it came out that way.
Erica was the first to speak. “You know what they did to us.”
“Yes, but you and Isaac were going to kill Lydia and she doesn’t seem to hold that against you.” Stiles pointed out.
Looking affronted Erica crossed her arms glancing away. Boyd rubbed her back, but didn’t say a word.
“Well since we know what this little meeting is about I say we vote.” Peter peered over to Isaac.
The golden haired wolf seemed nerves. “I say we let her apologize, it doesn’t mean we have to forgive her.”
“Well she’s still my friend so you know how I vote.” Jackson replied.
“I say she can go die in a hole.” Erica remarked.
“I don’t want to talk to her.” Boyd was still rubbing Erica’s back.
Derek narrow his eyes at Stiles. “I don’t want her anywhere near my pack.”
Everyone looked to Peter, who was leaning on the conference table. “It wouldn’t hurt to hear her out.”
“That’s five to three.” Stiles smiled.
“Four, Stiles. Your vote only counts as one.” Derek growled.
“Lydia brought Allison to me to request this meeting, so that makes her vote to hear her out.” Stiles tells everyone.
“Fine, when does she want to do this?” Derek huffs, his eyebrows coming down in anger.
“One week.” Stiles watches as the wolves all start to go their separate ways. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea, they were just now starting to really be a pack. And he just ask them to forgive an enemy, one that had hurt and help torture two of them. But he also knew they needed this, the Argents weren’t going anywhere. A treaty between them would be a good thing, even if it was just a cease-fire.
