The party turned out to be much bigger than he thought. With all people in Colosseum joined them, the celebration had become the most massive one he had experienced in a while. Not that he didn’t like it, he like it very much, really, the more people joined, the more fun the party would be. If anything, he was just upset, because it would never come in his mind, that there would be a shortage of meat because of that. Causing him to suffer from hunger even though the party wasn't over.
It was only natural if then, once they all parted ways and him, Torao, and his nakama hitched on Rooster-head ship to Zou, and after all the touring section they had, he didn't join the others to rest, instead he wandered around, looking for the kitchen that he didn’t even know where.
He opened any door that somehow happened stumbling upon before him. The first door he opened was a bathroom, which caused him to slip and hit his head against the sink for entering recklessly. The second one was the girl’s cabin, which lead him to find Robin who apparently still reading her book and smiled at him before he closed the door again.
The next door he opened was a…… don’t know? He wasn’t even sure what room it was. The room was dark, no lights on, so that he couldn’t see anything. Not that he expected to see anything once the lights on since he didn’t sense any much stuff here and there.
Click.
Lights illuminated the entire room as Luffy pressed the switch, revealing a literal empty room with only their wanted poster exhibited on the middle of display wall. He grinned and giggled at that sight, proud of his own crewmates who had come this far. He had seen this room on the tour earlier, so he decided not to linger and went back to looking for where the kitchen was.
He was just about to leave before his eyes caught something in the corner of the room.
In one corner, there was a drawer which on top of it there was a pile of their previous wanted posters. Luffy took it and giggled as he flipped through the stacks of papers one by one. Feeling nostalgic, while occasionally laughing at how bad their posters were in the past.
As he arrived at the last pieces, his laughter had to be stopped as he stared at the poster of a blue-eyed little girl who mirroring something unexplainable from her eyes.
Dead or alive
Nico Robin
𝕭 79,000,000
Luffy blinked as he recalling something. He then put all those poster back on the drawer, except for the last one. He folded it up into small and tucked it in his pocket as he stepped out of the room and continued his search for the kitchen.
“Shishishishi… your eyes looks like Robin’s.”
Everyone on the table dumbfounded, confused by their captain's sudden statement.
Nami's brow raised. "Me?"
"No". Luffy licked out the last remnants of his meat. "Torao." Emitted his usual big grin brightly, he continued, "So much alike that reminds me how much I hate it."
Nami, Sanji, and Chopper hit him hard straight off.
Luffy protested. "Ow! What’s that for?!"
“Idiot! You are indirectly saying Robin's eyes ugly.”
“I never said anything about ugl—”
“Hurry apologies to Robin, you moron.”
“Why should I—”
“How dare you equate the magnificent, shimmering, splendid, my robin chwan's eyes with his.” Sanji cried with horror.
“It indeed alike!” Luffy insisted. “Just look.” He stretched his arm, reaching for Law who was enjoying his onigiri peacefully, undisturbed by the commotion.
Sanji glanced at Law. “Hah. Not even slightest.”
"Oi, drop it, don't involve me in y’all unimportant bickering."
Usopp slapped his forehead at the chaos. Slowly herding Robin to their place. Positioning Robin and Law in line, standing next to each other.
“Look, Luffy.” Usopp’s hand framing Robin’s eyes. “This is Robin’s eyes. It was big, blue, and a little bit frightening.”
Usopp’s hand switched to frame Law’s eyes. “And this is Torao’s. It was little bit frightening as well, but the color is brown and they aren’t big.”
“Understand? They’re completely different in almost everything.”
Luffy furrowed brows. “Of course, they are.”
Usopp nodded proud.
“I didn’t talk about Robin's eyes right now, I'm talking about Robin's eyes back then.”
Everyone was confused.
“Torao eyes very similar to Robin's when she just joined the crew.”
Luffy stood still, transfixed on the periphery where the party taking place. Confused, dumbfounded, as occasionally took turns glancing at the paper in his hand and then at the person with whom they had been allied for a while.
They were in Zou now. And were having a little party for celebrating their ninja-pirate-mink-samurai alliance, as well as a farewell for the one who will come after Big Mom the next day. He was furious because Nami forced him to change clothes first before coming to the party, which of course he didn't like because it was a waste of time that he could have used to take as much meat as possible. He responded with some grunts, but he certainly did it anyway because didn't wanna face her anger. While he was changing clothes, something fell from his trouser pocket. A folded paper. He simply just picked it up and unfolded it to see what was inside. Grinned widely as looked at what was hidden in the paper, without wasting any time, he quickly finished changing and ran straight in rush towards where the party was held.
“Something's bothering you, Luffy?”
Luffy turned towards the sound. "Robin!"
He smiled and approached to Robin, taking a seat beside her.
“I found something in my pocket.” Luffy showed the paper he was holding to Robin.
“Oh, poor little girl.” Robin took it from Luffy’s hand. “Didn’t I look terrible on this poster?”
Luffy giggled. “I was going to show it to Torao, to show him how similar his eyes with yours.” He paused and took glanced at Law who seemed to be laughing with his own nakama. “But I guess, I can’t do that anymore. His eyes changed.”
“In a good way?”
“In a best way!” Luffy let out his trademark grin. “I like his eyes now shishishi”
Robin couldn’t help but pulling her corner lips up. “Then, how about telling him about it? I’m sure he will definitely like it.”
Luffy’s face brightened up. “You think so?”
Robin nodded.
“Great!” Luffy got up from his seat. “I'll go tell him now, bye Robin.”
Had only been a few steps away, Luffy stopped as he remembered something.
“Oh, and… Robin,”
“Yes, Luffy?”
Luffy glanced at the poster in Robin’s hand then looked at her.
“Good thing your eyes change too! I far more like it this way.”
Robin smiled. “Thanks to you, captain.”
