Summary
Dean tries to put Sam’s clothes in the dresser at the first motel. Dad catches him and barks, “Stop that. We’re not staying here.”
Two weeks later, there’s a new motel. A month later, another. Every new place smells strange, every burger tastes a little different, the blankets are never quite the same, though almost every motel has the same yellowish brown fuzzy blanket, sometimes complete with burnt holes where people dropped cigarettes. Everything is different all the time and at night, in the bed across from John, Dean bites his lip and tries not to cry.
