A club to destroy the James Potter and Sirius Black (Ok, that may be a bit extreme. We just want to have them see the consequences of their actions)

Summary:

“Why did you request me to tutor you?”

“You are one of the best students in potions, right?”

“Yeah, but so is Severus and he is in your house.”

“I don’t know Snape very well.”

“You know me even less.”

“Fine, your potions ability was not the only reason that I asked for you.”

“I knew it! What was the other reason?”

“Well for one thing, I know that you are not fond of my brother, Potter and their idotic group of friends, you are a Gryffindor which means that you have a lot off sway over Dumbledore and I’ve heard that you have a troubled relationship with your sister, similar to mine with my brother.”

“That still does not explain why you chose me.”

“Because I want you to help me get my brother and his friends in trouble and I think that you are the best person to help me.”

Or

Regulus and Lily team up to get the marauders in trouble for all of the trouble that they cause around Hogwarts. This leads to them forming an unlikely friendship, mending broken sibling relationships, finding true love, and ending the first Wizarding War before it even really starts.

Chapter Text

“-and that is your homework, I’ll see you all tomorrow in class.” Professor Slughorn said as his Fourth year students were getting all their stuff together so that they could leave and go to their next period. Slughorn sat back down in his chair to look at the papers that his students had handed in for him to grade.

“Professor, may I ask you something?” he heard a voice say above him. Slughorn looked up to see the face of Regulus Black.

“Of, course. Did you have a question about today’s lesson?”

Regulus Black was a brilliant student, in every single class expect for his own. His older brother was always fairly gifted in potions, not as talented as Severus or Lily, but he was still above average. But Regulus was bellow average. He did like the younger Black child though, so he always offers him extra help.

“Umm, kind off, I was wondering if I could get a tutor to help me in class?”

“Oh, of course. Do you have anyone in mind, for your tutoring? I can give you a list of people in your house that are giving lessons.”

“I was actually wondering if Lily Evans could do it? I heard that she was very talented in potions.”

“That sounds wonderful, I will ask what day she is available to give lessons. I know that she is already tutoring a few other students.”

“Ok, that sounds great.” He said with a smile, then he turned away and walked to his next class.

Lily was studying in the library when her potions professor walked up to her-

“Ms. Evans, do you have any more available tutoring sessions?” He asked her.

Lily had been tutoring younger students for three years know. She always enjoyed helping people, but it was extra nice because she was payed by the school for it. So she had some extra money to spend.

“Yeah, I have a few times available. Do you have a student that needs to be tutored in potions?”

“Yes, Regulus Black. Do you know him? He’s the younger brother of Sirius Black. He’s in your year, right?

“I know who you are talking about. But no I’ve never met Regulus. Are you sure that I’m the best tutor for him?”

“Yes, he actually requested you.”

“Oh, ok.” She said, slightly confused.

“So you can tutor him?”

“Yeah, tell him to meet me at here at 3:00 tomorrow.”

“I will.”

Lily did not really know what to expect in her session with Regulus Black, she had never spoken with the Slytherin but she had heard a lot about him. Granted a lot of that stuff came from Potter and his friends so she didn’t really know how accurate that stuff was.

But then again, he was a pure blooded Slytherin so it could very well be accurate.

She honestly did not know why the younger Black sibling had requested her to tutor him in potions. Lily knew that she was one of the top potions students in her year, but the person that she was tied with was Severus and she would have assumed that is who Regulus would have requested to work with.

Lily went to the library twenty minutes early to start setting up before Regulus got there. Usually she would get there ten minutes before the session would start, but since this was the first session she decided to get there extra early incase Regulus decided to get there early as well.

This turned out to be a good idea, because Regulus was there fifteen minutes before the session was supposed to start.

Lily and Regulus talked about potions for a half an hour before Lily let her curiosity get the better of her and asked

“Well for one thing, I know that you are not fond of my brother,Potter and their idotic group of friends, you are a Gryffindor which means that you have a lot off sway over Dumbledore and I’ve heard that you have a troubled relationship with your sister, similar to mine with my brother.”

“That still does not explain why you chose me.”

“Because I want you to help me get my brother and his friends in trouble and I think that you are the best person to help me.”

Lily paused for a minute to take all of that information in-

“Ok, I’m not saying I’m completely against the idea of Potter facing the consequences of his actions, in fact I’m all for it. But how exactly do you plan to do it?”

“I’m not sure, that’s one of the things that I wanted your help with.” Regulus replied.

“Alright I’m in.” She said with a grin.

Regulus smiled back at her, his eyes lighting up in glee.

“Should we shake on it?”

“I don’t know what that means.” The younger boy said confused.

“It just means we shake hands in agreement.” Lily said putting her hand out.

Regulus took it and there group had officially started.

James sat in the chair that was the closest to the entrance of the Gryffindor common room. Sirius in the one next one. It was around eleven at night and most people had already gone to their dorms by now, but not them.

Well they had been in their dorm with Remus and Peter around an hour ago, looking at the map that that made of Hogwarts.

The map had been a strike of genus on his part. It let you see were everyone at Hogwarts was at any given time. It was such a useful tool when it came to them playing pranks and sneaking around the school. It was also fun to spy on their classmates.

Which was James had been doing that night sitting on his bed with Peter working on homework beside of him and Remus laying down beside Sirius reading a book and Sirius laying staring at the ceiling.

His eyes looked over the enchanted piece of paper trying to see where everyone was and if he could tell what they were doing. Maybe he could find something to blackmail them with, that always came in handy when they needed someone’s help with a prank that they wanted to pull.

That was when he saw that his future wife, Lily Evans, was sitting in the library next to Sirius future death eater younger brother, Regulus.

“Hey Pads, what is you bio brother doing with Lily?”

Sirius sat up with a confused and slightly pissed look on his handsome face and said-

“What do you mean? Regulus wouldn’t be caught dead with a muggle born.”

“I know that. But he’a sitting with her in the library. See it says so on the map.” James said as he held up the map to prove that he wasn’t making it up to Sirius.

“Maybe he needed to study for class and her table was the only open one.”

“No there is no one else in the library.” James said.

“And besides even if it was filled to the brim with people, the little shit would rather sit on the floor or on a fucking bookshelf then with a muggle born.” Sirius said with a bitter look on his face.

“What do you think he is doing to her Pads?”

“I don’t know Jamie, but we are going to find out.” He said standing up and grabbing his wand from were it sat next to him on the bed.

Then he made his way to the dorm door with James close behind him. Remus rolled his hazel eyes and said

“Don’t go confront them in the library.”

“He’s hurting Lily, Mooney.” James said.

“We don’t know that, and Lily can hold her own against anyone. And Regulus is a fourth year. If your really worried about something you can wait for her to come back to the common room, then you can ask her what happened.”

“Fine.” James and Sirius said in unison.

That was what men to them being in the common room at this hour. James glanced over at his best friend and based on the look that was on his face he could tell that was about to grab his wand and march down to the library to confront his brother. And James was right there with him.

They didn’t end up having to do that though, because Lily walked through the door at that very moment. James and Sirius both shot up and ran towards her.

“What was my brother doing with you? Are you okay? Why did it take you so long to get back?” Sirius practically shouted.

The redhead rolled her eyes at this-

“For your information I was tutoring him in potions. And he didn’t do or say anything hurtful to me. We just talked about potions.”

“You agreed to tutor my his brother, are you insane!? He is a Slytherin.”

“I like making money James. I can’t pick and choose who I tutor based on what house they are, that would be rude. Plus Regulus requested me to tutor him.”

“He did what.” The two friends said in shock.

“He requested me to tutor him. Now if you would excuse me, I have to go to bed. It’s late.” Lily said then she walked to the stairway that led to the girls dorms.

“Why would he request Lily?” James asked Sirius hoping that he would know. Although it was long shot, Sirius hadn’t had a conversation with his brother in years.

“I don’t know, but I don’t feel good about it.”
