Work Text:
“I am not in love with Kyle Broflov-“
The boy begins to cough, coughing so hard his face turns red. He vomits, vomiting a mess of crimson red roses. His eyes go wide as he catches them, staring down at the flowers.
“What does this mean?”
Nobody can tell him. Nobody can tell this boy his fate. Bound to his feelings, he will forever suffer this disease.
He knows his true feelings. He cannot say the words. The words that he needs to say, they cannot spill from his mouth. He could choke and die if he ever finishes this sentence. He is scared, so he hides his feelings. He rags on Kyle, taunting him endlessly every day. He cannot tell.
The boy lies in bed. He thinks about Kyle. He feels nauseous, he feels sick whenever these thoughts arise. He knows it’s dangerous to think about his love, but he cannot help it. The thoughts come naturally. He images them, sitting on a nice grassy field watching the sunrise together. Then, Kyle leans in for a kiss…
The boy suddenly jolts up from bed, once again vomiting up red roses.
He erupted in tears. This was no way to live.
No matter the pain, no matter what he had to face, this boy needed to tell the ginger haired boy at school how he felt.
Leaves fell, new ones replacing them in beautiful colors. He sat outside the back of the building during recess. He was waiting for the love of his life.
But he didn’t show.
Grief, pain, sadness, sorrow. His heart ached. The boy followed Kyle home from school and asked why he had not shown up.
“I don’t care, Cartman.”
And for the last time, Eric Cartman choked on the roses that fell from his mouth. There were too many flowers, he could not breathe.
He managed to mutter out his last feelings to Kyle.
“I love you.” He loved Kyle more than anything, more than a boy could ever love. He cherished every moment he had spent with him.
Cherish.
