"Ah~hahaha!" The laughter of a boisterous humanoid alien echoed through the ballroom hall as he slammed down his goblet. A diplomat from an organic 'Gaia-like' planet similar to earth. Tall as a fusion, thick as quartz, and quite the friendly individual, really.

At least he didn't hold any animosity towards the Diamond authority of previous eras (their empires never crossed each other for eons, go figure.)

"You gems are all right."He wiped his second green bearded lip. " Not as warmongering as the tales led me to believe, but nowhere near as weak as the new rumors led me to believe either. A true ally." He laughed again.

"Now that's an interesting concept." Connie 'Heartberry' Maheswaran noted, "You came here thinking that Gemkind is weak...Cal-rous?"

"Exactly..." Cal-rouse took a sip, "and your Era three, after hearing that you gave up your armies and weaponry, well I thought the gem race waiting to be overthrown."

"That was my decree as Pink Diamond and founder of Era three " Steven 'Mister' Universe spoke evenly as he, Heart and, the human-sized White Diamond took a sip of the ale provided by their guest. "I was a kid, but I am still quite proud of that decision."

"Despite turning your back on it a couple of years later."

"Never said it was my smartest judgment," Steven admitted.

"Especially, Since Era three proved to have enemies." White spoke, "Gem, and otherwise." She sipped her ale, " Home and abroad."

"History and grudges don't die easily." Heart added, taking a dribble spilling gulp, and slamming the goblet down, glaring a bit woozily at Cal, "More."

"Ooh, your little human has heart." Cal poured with a grin.

"Hence, my name." Heart drank with a couple of gulps, "and what do you mean, YOUR HUMAN?"

"I mean, you don't believe your race has a seat on the stage of the stars." Cal smirked, "a three-hundred thousand-year race on a four-point five eon planet. Sounds like..."

"I didn't ask you for your opinion on earth...I asked you what you mean when you said YOUR HUMAN?"

Both White and Steven gulped at the sound of mechanical humming reverberated from Hearts pocket and Cal slowly breaching for his blade.

"I meant no insult." Cal started not taking his eye off Heart as he took another sip, "I was just observing your relation with Pink and White."

"Assumption, you mean." Steven countered before kissing Heart, getting blush from her, "let me set it straight, this isn't my or any gems, human. Earth and Homework are sibling planets. I, as a hybrid, am proof and a symbol of that. AS IS MY PARTNER!" He glared at their guest, finishing his drink. "You would do well to apply on to her as much respect as you would do any Diamond."

"Are you saying she is worthy of being considered as one of you?" Cal turned to White, "as the oldest...How do you feel about this girl?"

"Frightening." White started, "she is frightening. Frighteningly loyal, valours, pride, efficient, intelligent, powerful, magnetic. Everything to an alarming extent. She took a sip, "she's human..and et she can compete with us. She leads era three as much as Steven and his Crystal gems."

"And you don't see her as a threat?"

"Oh, she sees me as a danger." Heart looked back at White in a daze, "I'm a danger to what she initially believed humanity was...hhmm~mmm...I am changing gem kind on earth..understanding gem secrets..such as focal points and their inner coding." Heartberry took one complete finishing her cup, " I can literally create gem from scratch...but I will never do so." She sat back." My plans are a lot more benevolent."

"Of course, they are." White sighed and released a breath she didn't know she was holding.

Cal sighed as one of his assistance came in and whispered into his ear, causing his brows to raise.

"It seems my time here has been caught short. Home business to intend too." He offered the vase of ale to Heart's hands, " my apologies, Connie Diamond."

"That's an insult."

"To them?"

"To me." Connie expressed, "they might be considered family, but that title is tainted...Just Connie will do."

Cal nodded as he followed his attendant out..unaware of the cloaked assault spheres following them and recording.

"So?" White asked.

"The ale's laced with a truth serum. They were trying to get information, through intoxication" Connie said with a sigh slur on her lips. "Maybe cause discourse."

"So we can't trust him." Steven sighed.

"This is politics, Mister." Connie started, " full of lies, truth, and illusion."

"For now, we'll keep the Herza as friends," White started, " and try to bud a true friendship."

"And if we can't, era three will already be on the planet," Connie smirked.

Mister breathes out, his arms crossed, nodding.

"How much of your words were true?" white asked Connie, who grinned gently.

"Just know that I see you trying."
