“I hate kids,” the doctor mumbled under his breath as Izuku and his mother were let into the examination room.
“I hate kids,” his teacher sighed when his classmates got too rowdy.
“I hate kids,” Aizawa grumbled to his colleague, thinking he was out of earshot of the green-haired student.
I love kids, Izuku whispered to himself in the dead of night so no one would hear him.
I love kids, he thought whenever he saw Eri’s adorable smile.
I love kids.
I love kids.
I love kids.
Every day. Every night. He whispers those three simple words to himself. No matter what, they’re always true.
“I love kids, too,” Mirio says one day when Izuku says them a little louder than he intended. “They’re amazing, huh?”
Izuku doesn’t know how to respond verbally, so he just nods. Mirio smiles brightly. Like the sun.
Izuku smiles.
The Sun loves kids.
