Work Text:

Loki had been on good terms with the Avengers for a while now. "Good terms," meaning that the Avengers were letting her stay at the compound but still weren't at the stage where she could talk to any of them without them pulling knives at her throat.

Except for the spiderling; He was always so chatty with everyone. He would have gotten on her nerves if it wasn't for not having anyone to talk to, bored as one can be.

It was getting harder and harder to stay in her 'natural' form. It'd been a few days like this, but she couldn't risk the others criminalizing her just because she changed forms.

But then again, everything she did criminalized her one way or another, so why would she care about that now?

She stopped overthinking and decided to switch up, instantly feeling better as she saw her black hair, a bit longer than her original form. Her usual green and gold colors plastered her dress and cape. She smiled into the mirror as she saw herself, basking in the feeling of euphoria.

Thor had been gone for a few weeks, off to Asgard, which meant Loki was alone.

Not for long.

She decided to go to the kitchen, feeling lighter in her own skin as opposed to restrained.

As she stepped into the room, she saw the young spider. He was grabbing at his chest, breathing in and out like it was getting hard to breathe.

He quickly jumped to the ceiling as he sensed her.

"Who are you?" He asked, ready to fight.

The woman sighed, rolling her eyes like this was the billionth time someone had asked her that.

"Wait, Loki?" He asked as he registered the green and gold that no one else wore so frequently.

"Yes." She said, her tone bored while secretly craving the feeling that was talking to another person that wasn't at her throat 24/7.

He jumped back to the ground. "Are you-"

"Genderfluid, yes."

"Oh." He said, and Loki was prepared for the worst, not expecting what Peter was about to say. "Well, I'm trans."

This caught her off guard, which was visible on her face.

"Ok." She cleared her throat, feigning indifference. "I hope you're binding safely."

Now it was Peter's turn to be caught off guard. "I am."

She gave him a look. "I know when someone's lying. I also see how uncomfortable you are."

He shrugged like it was no big deal. "It's fine. If something happens, I can heal fast."

"Do you really want to know what my death stare does?"

"Not really." He said, and as he was about to go to his room and change, he stepped closer to Loki. "Just please don't tell anyone about me. Especially Mr. Stark."

Loki stared at him in disbelief. Had she really been the first to know out of all of the Avengers? Even before Stark, the man who was closest to a father to the teen? Maybe that was the reason why he didn't want him to know.

She pushed those thoughts out of the way and mimicked locking her lips and throwing a key. "My lips are sealed."

The warm smile the teen wore was contagious enough for her to mimic his amusement. "Thank you, Ms. Loki."

Ms.

She had to stop herself from revealing too much vulnerability.

It felt good being addressed as 'Ms.' If only Peter knew how happy that made her.

And he did. Because they were the same. Loki wasn't as alone as she thought to be, and as strange as it sounded, she was glad she could share this with the young spider.

Notes:

I am not trans or genderfluid. I'm cis and I did as much research as I could, but if I wrote something offensive or wrong, please comment and I will fix it! Anyway, thank you guys for reading:)
