Vermillion, a shade of bright red.
It taints his skin, it taints his thoughts, he is vermillion red and little can prove otherwise.
In simpler words, Dream moves to Orlando from Miami on a mission to never have to worry about death, accidents, and what happens in brilliant blue waves ever again. But he's immediately caught in a trance by the pretty, petty lifeguard, who's already weak in the knees for him, George.
But in all, vermillion is a flash of red, anger, betrayal and, a single kiss that could entirely ruin everything.

i love this i love this i love this SO MUCH - :(( i just felt connected to the characters, and the world that was created.
something about vermillion will always stay with me, whenever i see red i think of vermillion, whenever i go to the beach and see life guard towers i can imagine the whole gang hanging there. god damn, the writing in this is really something else. im a sucker for dnf/ dsmp slice of life fics that are set in ordinary settings - just makes me want to go out and live a life like the people in the fics. loved the characters, adored alyssa sdofisdj (there better be an actual cafe run by someone named alyssa). there are only certain fics that can have so many characters with each character playing a role. there's so much potential for lifeguard/ beach fics and non-famous au's. -
