Last wedding was a big showy affair, inviting absolutely everyone, releasing doves at the conclusion and a reception that went all night. It was hell for Peter. Elias had promised, this time would be different, this time they’d do it his way. Peter didn’t expect Elias to keep his promise. He expected gaslighting, denials and tantrums. That’s what happened last time. He knew Elias had the statement of that poor wedding planner somewhere in his archives…
“So Elias,” Peter sighed. “What do you think for this time.”
As they lounged in bed one weekend.
Elias smiled slowly. “This time well, Peter darling, I’m going to keep it simple: you, me the registrar and a witness.”
Peter narrowed his eyes: “Really Elias?”
“I promised Peter, this time I’d do it your way and that is what want, right?” Elias asked.
“Oh yes, it is.” Peter said surprised once again that Elias knew of course he did what Peter wanted.

They married on a Tuesday, Elias was in an elegant suit, Peter in his cardigan and jeans. Elias didn’t even seem to mind Peter’s outfit. The witness was Annabelle Cane, she carried a bouquet of what Peter hoped was fake spiders. She was the only one dressed up.
“Why are you doing this?” He asked Annabelle.
“Oh Elias owes me, for this favor, also I love weddings, ” She lisped.
“Alright,” Peter accepted.
They said their vows, exchanged rings (the same from last time), kissed sweetly and signed the paperwork.
Afterward they ate cake slices in Elias’s office. Annabelle had left.
“This is very out of character for you, Luv,” Peter said.
“Don’t worry, I will have my big ceremony and spectacle, just not for our wedding…” Elias said thoughtfully.
“If you win Elias,” Peter commented.
Elias just smiled. “We’ll see Peter.”
