Christopher fell asleep on Buck's lap. He didn't even saw the end of the movie.
Buck got up, took Chris in his arms ad got him to bed. He gave him a kiss on the forehead and whispered goodnight kid. Chris whispered back a goodnight dad in return without even noticing it was Buck. Buck smiled at the boy who was already asleep. As soon as he turned around, he saw Eddie at the doorframe staring at him with wide eyes and blush on his cheeks. Buck couldn't see the blush, he could only see the expression on Eddie's face. He thought he did something wrong so he began apologizing the moment he closed the door beside him, so he wouldn't wake Chris up.
"Eddie I'm so sorry. I don't want to take your place. I know you're his dad. I- I'll just leave" He tried to get away by starting to walk but Eddie wouldn't let him.
He took him by the wrist and stared right into his eyes, then said "Listen, I know my son sees you as a fatherly figure. After Shannon died he needed another person to look after him, and I tried to give that to him by dating Ana-" he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding an then continued "that's why I broke up with her, I didn't love her and it wasn't fair to her to keep on dating when I knew I was in love with someone else."
Buck kept his eyes on the floor "I'm- I'm sorry you broke up" Eddie let go of Buck's wrist and brought his hand on his shoulder. That brought him back to the time he said to Buck there's nobody in this world I trust with my son more than you, and just like in that moment he waited for Buck to look at him. When he finally had his eyes on him he started to talk again "I'm not" he said firmly. "I'm not sorry I broke up with her cause like I said before, I'm in love with someone else and I knew Chris saw you as another father figure so I tried to hide my feelings for you by dating Ana. But that just made me realize that I didn't just have a crush on you. I realized I was in love with you. I am in love with you" as he finished talking he saw Buck's face was a bright red and his mind began to think at the worst possible things that could happen in that moment.
"Shit. I'm sorry, I didn't plan on telling you that, and I'm sorry if that made you feel uncomfortable. But I needed you to know you're not a burden. I'm glad he sees you that way and I'm begging you not to leave him just because I was stupid enough to let my feelings for you fly out of my mouth before I could regre-" his rain of words was stopped by Buck's lips on his. He was shocked but he started kissing him back almost as they were made for this. Gosh, he thought about kissing Buck but this was so much better than the fantasies that he thought about.
When the kiss broke Eddie let out a moan Evan Buck looked at him still blushing but now with a smile from ear to ear and said "I'm in love with you too, Edmundo".
