Sunny felt a bit under the weather. Not in sadness or anything.
No, more like sickness.
He was taking a walk with Kel around Faraway, planning to go see Mincy. Kel was rambling on the way there, all about his life as of late.
"And then, she had the AUDACITY to hide the Orange Joe! Can you believe that Sunny?"
Sunny couldn't answer.
"...Sunny?"
The quiet eye-patch wearing boy jumps up in surprise.
"S-sorry Kel...I've been feeling a little under the weather today."
"You think you're sick, bro?" Sunny thought for a moment.
"...I'm not too sure."
"We don't have to go visit Mincy if you're not feeling good Sun."
"It's fine...Kel! I'm...fine…" Sunny stops. Kel is already at his side.
"Sunny?" Sunny closes his eyes and falls, Kel catching him before he falls onto the pavement.
I know SOMEBODY who'll read this will not like Timeskips, sorry!
Sunny slowly stirred awake. He felt a cold towel on his forehead and he was wrapped in many blankets as he laid down in the bed. He looked around, seeing that he was on Kel's Side of the room. He was at Kel's House.
"Sunny?" Hm. Speak of the devil. The athletic boy walked into the room, a bowl of soup in his hands.
"Sunny, hey! You're finally awake." Sunny chuckles. He replies, his voice raspy. "Honestly, I'd rather be asleep. Howdy Kel." Kel then explained what happened while Sunny was knocked out. Him telling Mincy that they'd visit later, Hero diagnosing Sunny with a fever, Kel making sure he was okay, etc..
"Kel, you didn't have to do that for me." Sunny said, thankfully.
"Of course I did!" Kel puts his hand on Sunny's head.
"Bros are there for bros, right?" Sunny felt himself blushing.
He couldn't tell if it was the fever or not.
"Anyways, here, you need to eat." Kel grabbed the soup.
"Hand it ov--mnm." Kel put a spoonful of soup into Sunny's mouth. Normally Sunny would react to this, but considering how sick and weak he felt, he just accepted it.
"Nope. You need to eat Sunny. Now open wide."
After many more spoonfuls of soup, Sunny had finished the soup. He smiled, making Kel smile too. Kel sits next to Sunny's side of the bed he was resting on.
"Feeling better?" Kel asked.
"Kind of. I'll be better soon. Thanks Kel." Sunny replied. Kel's smile seemed to be wider.
"Don't mention it."
Sunny got up from the bed suddenly and kissed Kel's forehead, making Kel surprised and rather embarrassed. Sunny smiles, embarrassed himself. He puts himself back in the bed.
"I love you Kel." Kel sits down and kisses Sunny's forehead.
"L-love you too, SportSun."
Oooh, hey, another Timeskip!
Sunny and Kel are walking around Faraway again. The two were thinking of going to Gino's for a bite. Kel however, didn't seem so good. Sunny noticed.
"Um, Kel? Are you okay buddy? You look under the weather. Not in sadness or anything, more like...sickness. ...Did I infect you?"
"N-no way, Sunny! I'm fine...I swear." Sunny was skeptical. Luckily for him, it wasn't long before Kel came crashing to the ground, Sunny catching him just in time.
"I knew it. Come on Kel. Let's get you home." And off the two went.
