    Darius was a well loved merman, known to be one of the best hunters and quick to learn. None of this helped him the day the humans found him in his cave and captured him, leaving him to drown on the ocean floor. Trapped in the darkness, with the ocean pressure bearing down on him, he knew that soon he would die but had at least hoped it wouldn't be at the hands of the monsters down below but as something brushed against him in the darkness, all Darius could do was panic.
