Summary
Her life was locationally harsh but peacefully simple: rise with the sun, work with the land, shepherd the sheep and maintain independence. Her days were long and her nights solitary, but she had no need for distractions and no love for company. She was content, with her best mate Axel, and never expected things to change.
Until a most Unexpected Company of Dwarves landed on her doorstep, alongside a walking-talking Tolkien Encyclopaedia in the form of the neighbouring farmland's eldest son. She never wanted their interference, and they never wanted to leave their homeland, but the things we want are not always the things we get.
They were all destined, it seemed, to venture on a journey of tolerance and trust. Such lessons were unexpected and unwelcome in the beginning, but no less valuable in the end.
