seokjin came home and immediately sensed something was not right. usually, jeongguk would come running to greet him, but he was nowhere to be seen.
toeing his shoes off and putting them on the rack, he went inside and saw yoongi puttering about in the kitchen, finishing up with dinner. he looked around and finally found jeongguk lying on his play mat, staring grumpily at the ceiling with a pout on his lips. his nose was slightly red and runny, and seokjin was immediately worried.
"what happened?" seokjin asked as he walked towards yoongi.
"oh, he's sulking because he wasn't invited to a party," yoongi said.
seokjin frowned. why was jeongguk not invited to a party? whose party was it? and why was yoongi so chill about it if jeongguk was upset enough to have cried about it?
"he was looking through the picture albums again earlier," yoongi added and seokjin turned back towards him. "and then he realised he wasn't in any of the pictures of our wedding party while the other boys were there, so he got upset because he wasn't invited."
yoongi laughed when he saw seokjin's face became a mix of defeat and fondness. he then walked towards jeongguk.
"are you done sulking?" yoongi asked.
"no," jeongguk said.
"okay. dinner is ready, so come to the dining room when you're ready," yoongi said, then walked back towards the kitchen to get the plates ready.
jeongguk perked up and immediately sat up, looking towards the kitchen. he then stood up and went off to the bathroom. seokjin followed after him, curious to know what he was doing, and saw jeongguk rip a couple of squares of toilet paper and blew his nose with it.
once he was done, he threw the used tissue in the bin and walked back towards the dining room.
"ggu dun," jeongguk said, standing to attention as if reporting for duty. "ggu bow nose too."
"good boy," yoongi said as he smiled at jeongguk. "you can have an extra treat tonight, my best boy."
jeongguk grinned wide and toddled over towards yoongi, hugging his leg, all previous upset about not being invited to a party forgotten.
dinner went on as lively as usual, and seokjin was just glad that jeongguk didn't stay upset for long.
