See You In Tokyo (DNF)

Summary:

George had always been relatively private, Dream just didn’t realise how private. And when George’s newly revealed sister makes a sudden appearance, certain things George had never mentioned to anyone make their way out to the internet. One thing led to another, and before George knew it, he was stuck with his best friend that he was absolutely smitten with, in Japan, for three weeks.

Basically George is pining sO HARD for Dream but regardless attempts to tour Dream around the country he spent half of his childhood in.

THIS IS ALL FICTION LMAO. I am well aware that none of this is cannon whatsoever, but this has been a brainrot within my head forever so :/
I am also well aware that the COVID conditions are far from what I presented them to be in this story - i began writing this way earlier when COVID conditions in Japan were way better so :)

Also not the author self projecting a h a h a

Notes:

Hi yall! Please just take this lmao. I did this instead of work. Some of this is shit, other bits are good. But oh well

Chapter 1: An Unexpected Call

Chapter Text

“C’MERE GEORGEEEEEE!” Dream’s bellowing shouts echoed through the mic. The several ‘run!’s and ‘go and fight him!’s filled the chat as George helplessly fled from his dear friend’s character in game. They were doing a stream--two hunters versus one speedrunner type thing. More informal, sure, but the fact that this wasn’t going to be posted on youtube didn't stop the immense fear George felt from being chased down by two of his closest friends.

“AEEEGHGEAAAAAAAA GET AWAY DREAM! GET! AWAY!” George screamed as he leaped through the trees in a desperate attempt to get away from his friend. He could hear the evil little giggles coming from the monster behind him, and while too concentrated on his next escape route, he hadn't noticed Sapnap pearl right in front of him. With two clicks from an axe George was dead.

“YEEEEES DREAM LETS GO!” Sapnap yelled. He could practically hear the air punch his friend made in triumph. George could do nothing but lean back in his chair and admit defeat, while his two overjoyed friends screamed in victory. He looked over to the chat who were sending an array of ‘:(‘ amongst other things. He had actually been doing rather well this time around. He had gotten to the nether rather quickly and even killed Sapnap twice. George had only barely managed to reach the Stronghold before being ambushed by a terrifying green figure.

“Yeah whatever. I let you guys win.” George heard Dream wheeze at his remark.

“I’m sure I’m sureee.” He heard Dream say while Sapnap continued to call him “literal dog-water dude”. This was like any other stream. Just him having fun with his friends. Playing games and being idiots. George giggled at his friends’ stupid antics as he respawned into the game, with nothing in his hotbar. He mindlessly bounded around the open plains in an attempt to reunite with the other two.

“Awwwe don’t get too upset Georgie. It’s not our fault you’re so bad.” He heard the floridian coo into the mic. George pulled a face in an attempt to cover up the pink making its way to his cheeks.

“Georgie? Never heard of that one before.” He laughed.

“It’s cute.” George rolled his eyes and shook his head, desperately concentrating on staying cool. It always pained George just how easily Dream flirted with him so nonchalantly on stream. It pained him even more that he sort of liked it. Dream had always been a huge flirt, and now it was a part of their private and public relationship that George just had to put up with.

“Guys. Can you like, stop flirting? For three seconds? I’m tryna kill this bunny here.” He heard Sapnap sarcastically say. That is, of course, before an array of screams filled the conversation, ending just as quickly as they came when a little notification popped up on the corner of the game saying, ‘Sapnap died falling from a high place’. Dream wheezed loudly amongst George’s giggles as he laughed out,

“How on earth did you die, Sapnap?”

“Hm i dunno Dream, it's almost like you could read what it says in chat.”, the sarcastic remark making George and Dream laugh harder. The laughter did not die down as Dream and Sapnap bickered, meanwhile, George now reunited with Sapnap’s character, was punching him mercilessly.

George’s laughter came to an abrupt halt.

“Wait guys shut up.” He sharply spoke.

George’s attention had turned to his phone, where an accept or decline option was hovering below a call he was receiving. A call from his sister.

“Woah, why so mean George? You’re hurting my feewings” Sapnap spoke, humour still brisk in the air of their conversation.

“Guys its my sister.”

They all went quiet.

“Your sister? You don't have a sister George.”, George ignored Dream’s comment. It’s true. George doesn’t have a sister. Or at least, that's the pretense he led his friends, his followers, and the whole internet to believe. George hurriedly picked up.

“Piper? You never call me. What’s wrong?” George spoke out. That is also true. His younger sister never did call him. They rarely spoke online to be fair--its not like they didn't love each other or weren’t close. It was quite the opposite actually. It was just something they never did. Yet here they were. His sister, calling his phone for probably the first time in two years, as she bellowed down the phone,

“GEORGE. MY FLAT’S BURNT DOWN.”. There was a moment’s pause.

“W h a t?”

“I SAID. MY FLAT BURNT DOWN.” George shook his head in an attempt to understand the situation.

“Wait what do you mean? I thought you were in Ja--”

“I know I know! I just--okay i have no where to go, i’m wandering around the streets of London, I have several suit cases full of shit, its pissing it down, and i can’t go back to mummy and dad because they’re in Wales, and i have like no friends’ houses that aren't disgusting and I just need somewhere i feel safe. Can you please help me?”

George’s mind was in a whirl. Being bombarded with this information all at once while so careless not moments before frankly overwhelmed him. It didn't help that his chat was being spammed with confused and worried messages, amongst others who claimed he was trolling. He wasn’t trolling though. Dream and Sapnap knew that. They were both completely silent.

“O--Okay. Look. I’ll send you my address, come here. Are you far away?” George asked as he swiftly put his sister on speaker before quickly typing in his address to his sister’s message chat, a way for him to still hear her and send her his location.

“No, I don't think so. I’ll be there in fifteen i think.”

“Okay well hurry up. It’s dark.” He said, before being abruptly hung up on. He looked over to the chat who was now bombarded with questions and shocked messages. Dream finally spoke up.

“What… was that?” George took a deep and shaky breath, bringing his thumb and index finger to pinch the bridge of his nose.

“Sorry. It’s just,” he wiped his hand over his face in an attempt to rub his eyes, “My sister: she just called me and said her flat burnt down. She’s in uni at the moment and I thought she was still in Japan doing her placement year there, but apparently she’s back now, and is just wandering around London with two fat suitcases at 10 in the evening while it’s pouring it down.” George vented, rather stressed.

“Oh.” Dream said quietly.

“Wait for real?? Dude--you never told us you had a sister, what is up with that?” Sapnap said. That was true, yes. And to be frank George often regretted not having told his friends about it before.

“I know… I know… It’s just--i was never really asked about it and it had got to the point in our friendship where we had been friend’s for so long that it would have just been weird to hit you guys up with a ‘hEy, bY tHe wAy, I haVe a siSter, JuSt sO yOu kNoW.’, y’know?”, George rambled. He didn’t want his friend’s upset with him. Sapnap he wasn't so concerned about, but Dream--God, he told Dream everything, and for George to just, not mention such a big part of his life to him, ever, he could understand why he would be upset with him.

Dream giggled.

“GEORGE! OH MY GOD--” Dream burst out in laughter. George looked up confused.

“That’s so stupid! Oh my gosh, dude--I can't even believe that! C’mon I must have asked you if you had any siblings at one point. Dude!” It turns out George had nothing to worry about. It brought a smile to his face just how much at ease Dream made George feel about anything. Even when it was Dream being the one getting cancelled about whatever stupid reason, it was always Dream reassuring George that it was going to be fine and that they had nothing to worry about. That was one among many many things that George loved about his best friend. He laughed in utmost relief.

“Yeah! I dont know… there’s actually a lot of things about my early life that i just haven't told you guys i guess. But yeah!!!! Sister reveal guys!!! Clip it, clip it!!!” George joked.

“Bruh but is your sister okay? Isn’t her apartment in flames or some shit?” He heard Sapnap ask, the question re-welcoming some anxiety he felt.

“Yeah. I’m sure she is. I’m worried, but she sounded fine. She sounded like herself, so that’s good.” He answered.

“Well tell us about her dude, now that you’ve kept her a secret for so long.” Sapnap continued while punching George’s character. Dream’s character soon appeared in the distance also, the green figure in enchanted iron armor bounding across the field.

“Okay… well um, she’s 19 turning 20 in a few weeks. Um… we’re pretty close actually. Uhhh, yeah she’s studying concept art and illustration at uni at the moment, and was just in Kyoto working for an animation company there for her placement year.”

“Oh cool, so she likes drawing and stuff?” Dream asks as his character finally reaches George, swiftly pulling out a diamond axe, earning a screech from George as he desperately ran away.

“AAEGEGEGGEEAAAAAAAAA YEAH. SHES ALWAYS LIKED DRAWING AND--DREAM STOP! LEAVE! ME! ALONE!” George bellowed.

“Only if you scream for me louder, Georgie~” In a futile attempt to ignore the skip his heart took, he laughed as he continued to run.

“Oh my gosh its more dnf...” Sapnap commented as he appeared beside Dream, also chasing down George. Before long, the brit got caught in some leaves and was swiftly slain by the enemy: Dream. Soon enough though, Quackity joined the call alongside the one and only Karl. The feral boys reunited once again.

“JORGEEEEEE SINCE WHEN DO YOU HAVE A SISTER MAAAAN???” The male shouted, putting on a heavy Mexican accent as a greeting. Karl soon joined in on the shouting as he bellowed out an array of questions. George ignored them as he looked over, a text from Dream appearing on his lockscreen.

‘Why’d you never tell me about this? :(
