Dream’s arms are folded politely in his lap, fingers fidgeting at the inside of his thigh, and Punz hears the unspoken question he’s trying to ask.
It’s four minutes to midnight. Punz smiles warmly, slinging his arm over the back of the couch, a hair away from holding Dream’s shoulders.

Out of all the things he expected, being in the prison he helped design was the last thing he could have thought of.
At first, when Sam led him to the prison, the shock hadn't set in yet, his brain registered the cheers from Tommy and Tubbo and he thought that this, really, was no big deal. It's when Ranboo stared back at him that he started to feel his blood run cold.
(Or I choose to ignore a bit of lore. Tommy never died in the cell by the hands of Dream and Quackity tortures him for the revive book because Dream told everyone about it before being imprisoned)
