[Hi sis!] A voice said excitingly over the phone.
“Hi! How are you guys? It’s been so long since our last video call.” Emma exclaimed to her siblings.
[Good! Alia didn’t want me to tell anyone, but she’s started singing classes!]
“R-really?!”
[Addie! I told you not to say!]
[Ehehe- sorry!]
“You’ll have to sing for me next time we see each other!”
[My singing isn’t anywhere as good as yours, Emma. I mean, when you sang Aion no Uta, everyone in the town was talking about how your voice is so beautiful.]
“Seriously? I didn’t know that many people even knew I came here to be an idol!”
[Everyone in town knows about you, I mean you’ve helped out like every neighbor and store out.]
“I guess so *ehehe*”
“Who are you talking to Emma?” Karin asks, walking into Emma’s room from her own.
“Oh, I’m sorry for waking you. I’m talking to my siblings from back home.”
“It’s alright but at midnight?”
“Yeah, the time difference makes it hard.” Emma nervously chuckles.
[Is that Karin?]
[Ooooh! I wanna talk to her!]
[Me too!]
“They wanna talk to you, Karin-chan. Come, come.” Emma says, waving her hand towards her.
“Okay… but my Italian isn’t good yet.” Karin said tiredly.
“That’s alright. I can be a translator if needed.”
“How are you so energetic at this hour?” Karin sits down next to Emma on her bed. “Well talking to my family always makes me happy!” Emma scooted right up against Karin, so they were in frame.
Her siblings were crowding over the phone, waving and saying greetings to Karin. Karin waved her hand and reciprocated a simple greeting back to them.
[Are you still a famous model?]
“Well, I do model but I wouldn’t call myself famous.”
[But you go in books!]
[Its magazines, Maddie.]
[O-oh… well same thing!]
Emma laughs at the antics going on across the screen.
“I dunno, Karin. You’re pretty well-known among teens. I mean you’re a model and a school idol.”
“I guess but I still wouldn’t say I’m good enough to be famous.”
“I think you’re good enough! Better than all other models.”
“E-Emma…” Karin looks away, hiding her flustered face.
[Geez, get a room you lovebirds.]
“Alia!” Emma says.
[Even though I don’t know Japanese I can tell you guys are flirting.]
“We aren’t flirting, guys!”
[Anywayssss! Are you gonna come to Switzerland? I wanna meet Karin in person!]
[Yeah, me too!]
“I don’t know, hopefully we’ll be able to visit soon! I miss all of you and mama and papa so much!”
[Dinner’s ready, kids!]
[Stop calling me a kid!]
[Okay!]
[Yay!]
[We gotta go now. Bye Emma!]
[byeeeeee!]
*giggle* “Okay! Talk to you all next week!” Emma exclaimed.
“It was nice to see you all.” Karin says back.
Emma ends the call and puts her phone down beside her.
“Are you gonna go to bed now?”
“Yep, that’s the plan.”
“Okay…” Karin puts her head on Emma’s shoulder. “But I’m gonna sleep with you tonight, I won’t be able to fall asleep again unless I’m with you.”
*giggle* “Good with me!” Karin moves from her place and got under the blankets. Emma turns off the light and gets in bed with Karin. As soon as she settles in, Karin snuggles up against Emma, putting her head on her chest. Emma wraps her arms around Karin protectively. Not too soon after they both fall asleep.
