“You were in Slytherin, right?” Molly asked.
Regulus flinched, feeling yet again as if he were being judged. “I should have been in Ravenclaw.”
She frowned. “The Sorting Hat is never wrong, though.”
“It wasn’t the Sorting Hat which was wrong, but myself,” Regulus muttered, glancing around for an escape route then taking off so he might get away from Molly. She continued frowning, thinking about what Sirius’ younger brother said.

Ron saw it. It definitely had the first letter of his name on it, but more importantly the sweater wouldn’t be in the horrid red color.
“She finally listened for once,” Ron said quite a few times to nobody in particular. “And didn’t make me one that is that horrid red color.”
Fred and George gave him strange looks, while Harry and Hermione seemed equally baffled. Yet, there he went on Christmas day at Grimmauld place, going straight for the sweater he always hoped would be different, excitement in his eyes as he—
His face twisted into a scowl as he held up the usual sweater, his mind wondering where the blue one with the first letter of his name got to.
“Oh! Regulus!” Sirius called out, pulling a couple of packages from under the tree. “There’s a package here for you!”
“Why?” Regulus asked from whatever dark corner he lurked in, only for the package to hit him in the face while Sirius teared his open. Ron stared, watching Sirius pull out a sweater in the classic Weasley color scheme with the first letter of his name while Regulus stared at the package.
“No way,” Ron muttered. “But, he was in Slytherin…”
Regulus opened up the package and there was the blue sweater with the letter R on it. His eyes went wide, and then—
He hugged it too him, closing his eyes as Sirius slipped his on. Sirius turned to Molly. “Thank you!”
“Regulus?”
Regulus nodded his head, still holding the sweater close. Sirius watched his brother, frowning. “He does like it. He wouldn’t be hugging it if he didn’t.”
Ron sighed. “That’s so unfair. Why doesn’t she listen to me about the things I don’t like?”
The others gave him a funny look, fully enjoying their sweaters.
