Clint looked-up as Phil came into the bedroom from the en-suite wearing his flannel pajamas and leaning heavily on his cane. Clint wondered if he should get out of bed and offer assistance. Before he could ask, Phil spoke.
"I'm okay," Phil said. "I was just wondering if Pippa is asleep yet. I'd like to say goodnight."
"It's Halloween," Clint said, "and she just got her Poppy back. She's excited; she's not going to sleep anytime soon."
"Is she in her bedroom?" Phil asked.
"No," Clint said. "She's in the communal TV room with Tony watching Finding Nemo. I don't know if Tony managed to convince Bruce to join them or not. "
"Are you okay with that?" Phil asked.
"She's perfectly safe with Bruce and the Hulk," Clint said.
"She met the Hulk?" Phil asked, looking a little green himself.
"She calls him Mr. Hulk," Clint said, chuckling.
"You must have nerves of steel raising her in this climate," Phil said.
"She really is safe here, babe," Clint said, "safe and loved."
"I'm sorry," Phil said. "I'm overstepping,"
"What do you mean you're overstepping?" Clint asked. "She's yours too, Now come to bed. I want to cuddle with my husband."
