Usually, it was against the rules for a guardian angel to show themselves in front of the ones they were keeping an eye on; hell, it was against the rules to do something so noticeable to protect their people. But here Joaquín was, breaking rules left and right. And if he’d interfered this much already, he might as well do a little more interfering.
“Tell each other you love one another,” said Joaquín, Sam and Bucky startling as if their deepest, darkest secret had been proclaimed to the person the least wanted to know, “You’re fucking killing me here. I sit around all day watching you both pine. Stop pining. Start fucking. The sexual tension is unreal.”
They sat there on the ground, looking dumbfounded at Joaquín.
“I’m. Um. Joaquín, by the way,” said Joaquín, “Your Guardian Angel.”
