Leonard was sucking the candy cane into a sharp point contemplating on whether he should use it to stab Jim in the throat. Jim was being a little shit again and pissing him off in medbay. The captain hissed as Leonard injected him with a hypo. "What did I say about keeping away from strawberries?" Leonard growled and Jim huffed. He looked like some bloated zombie due to the allergic reaction, but it was still not a pretty sight.
"Thorry boneth. The chocolate fountain wath irrethithable."
"Yeah I bet," Leonard chuckled. "Was it worth it?"
Jim didn't answer and only glared at him.
"You stay here for fifteen minutes and then your goblin boyfriend can take you home."
"Of all the faces in this room, yours bears the most resemblance to such a creature," Spock said matter-of-factly and Leonard smiled, chuckling softly.
"Make sure he sleeps on his side. If you have any problems-" He handed Spock a hypo "-inject him with this."
Leonard glanced over Jim one last time before heading to his other patient.
"What was it this time? An explosion? An engine failure? A haywire machine?"
"Something like that," Montgomery smiled sheepishly but Leonard rolled his eyes as he grabbed the dermal regenerator.
"Mmhm," Leonard nodded in approval as the device worked its magic. The gash had cut jaggedly along Montgomery's arm was soon disappearing. When he was finished, Leonard put the device away and examined the engineer's arm. "Looks good. But I'm still putting you on 12 hours of rest leave--no don't pout at me. Your arm needs to help properly, you hear? It'll be sore for a while.
Montgomery groaned but accepted his fate. "Anything ye can prescribe?"
Leonard smiled, his hand cupping the engineer's face. "Nothing but love and maybe a candy cane if you're lucky."
"And how is that?" Montgomery inquired coyly, but his smirk soon faded into a blush when Leonard pressed a kiss to Montgomery's arm. Then another and another. Leonard trailed kisses all the way down his arm until he reached his hand. There, he only pressed a gentle kiss to the back of the engineer's hand. Now Leonard was smirking as he grabbed the bowl off of his desk, full of candy canes. He offered it to Montgomery.
"And here you are."
Montgomery opened his mouth to say something but promptly forgot and so his mouth just hung open. Leonard was quite proud of that and gently placed a kiss on his boyfriend's forehead.
"Oh, get a room!" Jim yelled from across the medbay and Leonard (medically) flipped him off.
