She rushed out the door on pure instinct and adrenaline. Her body burned hotter than ever as she fought and dusted the couple of vamps trying to make a midnight snack of a Beta woman. The dust hadn’t yet settled to the ground when out of the gloom a clap broke the silence.
A shock of platinum blond hair lit up under the glow of a single phosphorescent spotlight. A black boot kicked off from the dank brick wall to stand mere feet from her. Shockingly blue eyes held her gaze captive as a sinful smirk settled over the pale man’s face. Except, no, he was definitely a vampire, but he didn’t feel like any vampire she had faced to date. Her skin hummed with his proximity. And she felt drawn to make one step closer to him, just to feel her skin tingle with a pleasurable electricity.
