Light filtered in through the curtains, Ranboo blinking against it. He felt Tubbo curl closer to him, and his arms instinctively tightened around him. He nuzzled closer to the top of his head, being mindful of the horns that poked out of the messy brown hair.
The two lay there for a bit more until the light got to be too much. Ranboo opened his eyes again and looked down at his husband. He smiled seeing him and leaned down to press a quick kiss to his forehead. Tubbo let out a huff at that, opening his eyes and looking up at Ranboo. He leaned up until he could reach him and then pressed a kiss to Ranboo’s lips.
Ranboo was quick to return it, smiling against the kiss. It was a little hard to kiss while smiling, but the two had enough practice doing it. Ranboo leaned down a little to make it easier, and the two traded soft kisses as they woke up fully.
Ranboo could still hardly believe he’d gotten so lucky, that he found someone who loved him for all he was, that he married, who he adopted a son with. He was glad they ditched the platonic label, the feeling of kissing Tubbo was really like none other. If he could go the rest of his life kissing him, he’d be happy.
Tubbo pulled away from the kiss and bonked his head against his shoulder. “I can hear you thinking. What’re you thinking about?”
Ranboo smiled down at him again. He knew his expression probably looked goofy, dripping with love, but he didn’t care. “Thinkin’ about how much I love you.”
Tubbo scoffed, but the expression on his face gave him away. He looked at Ranboo with the same lovesick expression Ranboo was sure he had. He leaned up again and kissed Ranboo. “Stop thinking and kiss me, you dickhead.”
Ranboo snorted but complied, holding Tubbo closer to him as he peppered his face in kisses, Tubbo laughing all the while. He nudged him again and Ranboo stopped, looking down at him still with that same smile.
At Tubbo’s pouting expression, he gave in and kissed him on the lips again, Tubbo humming happily as he quickly returned it.
As they traded kisses once more in the early morning, Ranboo decided his favorite thing was waking up next to Tubbo.
