It's Christmas Eve, not that it really mattered at the moment. He's done this before, went out walking in the cold rather than sleeping, it was soothing, more so than laying awake in an uncomfortable bed until god awful hours in the night. Even if it meant losing feeling in the tips of his ears and his fingers.

They were looting a house when the first few walkers stumbled across the lawn. Tubbo thought little of it, the house they were in wasn't fortified by any means, but neither him nor Ranboo were helpless in the face of a few walkers. But that surety was shortlived as more and more began trickling down the road, through yards, a couple stumbling into neighboring houses aimlessly.
Tubbo, belatedly, realized they had mistimed the incoming horde.

Each panting breath that escaped Toby’s spit-slicked lips would brush against Ranboo’s jaw, and Ranboo’s presence would be commanding.
"Keep going, love," they’d say. "Look at you rutting into your pillow like a desperate puppy. Is that what you are? My desperate little puppy?" Toby would keen at that, he knew he would. He’d gasp softly and his eyes would sting with tears.
"Yes," he’d whimper, hips stuttering and pace quickening.

"Hey Tubs." Ranboo said into his phone, "this dumb train got delayed for some reason.""I hate when that happens, I'm live by the way."
"I know, I got the notifications. I just know we won't talk much so I was hoping you would read my messages and call me before you started streaming but this is fine." Ranboo's tone was rather passive aggressive and Tubbo gulped. Yeah, he really should have thought about that better.
"Are you almost at your shoot? I can leave the room for a moment, the boys won't care that much."
Tubbo took the hum followed by silence as a cue to excuse himself from the chat and leave the room, heading into the hallway and sitting down against the wall. The call was transferred over to his phone and he let out a breath. "Hey."
"Hey, Love." Ranboo whispered.

Summary
Tubbo tried his best to be gentle when he whipped across the yellowish bruises, even if the taller hadn’t said anything about what happened, he knew.
The kid got bullied at school, how could he not know. He noticed Ranboo had closed his eyes.
Tubbo whipped off some blood that stained the right side of Ranboo’s jaw, careful not to push too hard against it. In his opinion Ranboo had done nothing to deserve what had happened.
Tubbo cleaned the blood on Ranboo’s upper lip, his eyes still closed. He had to admit, Ranboo is quite handsome, but now that he’s up close he can see that Ranboo’s cheeks are dusted with freckles, he can also see the faintest bit of pink. His jawline is sharper than he thought it was, heat rises to cheeks.

They couldn’t pay attention to the teacher if he could hear his classmates whisper about him.Or: Ranboo gets bullied, Tubbo is asked to tutor them. Tubbo sees the life Ranboo is living in and decides to try and help them. Dream is making it one hell of a job. Through trial and error, Ranboo and Tubbo make their new relationship work.
