Shadow sat on the cliff, watching the sunset. Sure, it was beautiful, but not the most beautiful thing he knew. The most beautiful thing he knew was the cute, optimistic, blue hedgehog, Sonic. He knew Sonic was gay but wasn't sure if he liked him back.
He got so lost in thought; he didn't even notice the blue hedgehog sit next to him. "Hey, Shads, you've been over here sulking for a bit, and I got worried."
Shadow blinked a bit. "Huh? Oh yeah, thanks. I guess."
Sonic frowned. "Shadow, are you okay?"
He tried his hardest not to cry. "It's just I think the guy I like is already dating someone."
Sonic hugged him. "I know what that feels. I have mad feelings for this guy, but I think he's dating someone."
Shadow looked at him. "Who is it that you like?"
Sonic chuckled a bit. "You?"
Shadow smiled. "I'm not dating anyone, Sonic." He placed a gentle kiss on Sonic's lips.
Sonic felt his face go red. Shadow liked him back.
