We Need to Talk

Summary:

Our boys are making out on the bed, when Pat suddenly says something that Pran doesn't like. They talk about it.

Notes:

This idea has been bugging me since I watched episode 9 [3/4] and [4/4], and I finally got around writing it.

Work Text:

It was one of those days when Pat was too determined for his own good.

Pran enjoyed the light kisses against his neck, the weight of his boyfriend on his body, and how he could feel both their heartbeats racing as their chests were flush against each other. It was Heaven on Earth, and Pran never wanted to get used to it.

Their hands left hot trails on each other's skin through their bedtime clothes, and since neither of them had any scheduled programs for the next morning, they had all the time they could ask for.

Their lips found each other, and Pran was eager to answer Pat's passion with his own, feeling ready to go a bit further than last time they made out. Pran was nervous, but he trusted Pat more than anyone. The mood was perfect.

Until it wasn't.

"Am I allowed to do it? To take my reward for winning?" Pat asked, and Pran groaned, definitely not in pleasure.

"Okay, no. Please, get off me," he asked, carefully pushing Pat away, and sitting up cross-legged. He fetched a pillow and put it in his lap to avoid the visible distraction. "We need to talk."

The other man was still laying down, confusion clear on his face as he looked up at his boyfriend. "Did I do something wrong?"

Pran shook his head, then tilted it to the side, frowning a bit, his eyebrows knitted together. Pat sighed and sat up, leaning his back against the headboard, taking a huge, calming breath, and slowly releasing it.

"Okay, I'm listening."

Pran sighed, visibly collecting his thoughts on whatever he wanted to discuss.

"How do you imagine our first time?" Pran asked, and he cursed himself seeing the smirk appear on Pat's face. "Be serious."

"I am! But I cannot imagine it without grinning like an idiot."

"I have noticed that." Pat stuck out his tongue, which made Pran giggle.

"Can you be more specific on what you are asking?"

Pran looked at his hands that he dropped onto the pillow in his lap. "What does having sex mean to you in our relationship?"

Pat seemed to deeply think it through before he spoke. "I guess the same as for most other romantic relationships? It would be another way of getting closer to each other. To be more intimate. To show our feelings in a physical way."

Pran nodded, smiling at his boyfriend.

"It would mean the same for me."

Pat looked confused again. "Then what's wrong? Why did you stop me? Are you not ready for it? We can wait if you…" Pran held up his hand, stopping the very adorable rant that was on it's way.

"If I am not ready for something, I will just tell you that. I do want to go a bit further than we did before, that's not the problem." Pat tilted his head to the side again, looking at Pran with an intense expression, eager to learn what his boyfriend wanted to teach him about himself. Pran sighed.

"When you call it a reward or something that you want to do to me..." Pran took a break, seeing how the clogs turned in his boyfriend's head. "It feels like a one-sided thing to bring you satisfaction. Like I am letting you do something that you want and I don't."

It was Pat's turn to sigh.

"This reminds me of our conversation about the wife/husband thing." Pran nodded, patiently listening to his boyfriend. "So, if I'm getting this right, your problem is that it sounds like I am taking advantage of you, when in reality it is just the progression of our relationship?" Pran smiled at him.

"Yes. Your macho-talk is a major mood killer for me."

"I'm sorry. I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable." Pat looked at him with those big, puppy eyes that never fail to melt Pran's heart.

"It's okay. We are still learning each other. Hand in hand," he said, reaching out and lacing their fingers together. "And I am sure I will say things along the line that you won't like, and we can discuss those then."

Pat lifted their joined hands, kissed his, and looked at him with a mock-serious expression. "I'm telling you in advance, if you ever call me Princess, I am leaving you for Wai."

Pran was a strong man with more self-control than most, but even he was incapable of holding back his laughter hearing that ridiculous statement.

When he could finally collect himself, Pat smiled at him as he wiped away the tears from his red cheeks, looking deeply into his eyes.

"You could never leave me." Pran stated, seeing the confirmation in Pat's gaze.

"And you could never leave me."

They leaned into each other, sharing a soft, sweet, deep kiss, that was full of their love for each other, knowing if it leads to more exploration, it would happen because they both want it.
