Chloé could not believe this was happening! She looked at Ladybug's out stretched hand, her bee miraculous shining bright. Her hands flew up to cover her mouth, tears threatening to fall.
"Ladybug, are you serious?!"
The superheroine did a little awkward shrug but the grin stretching across her face revealed everything.
"One of my other miraculous holders vouched for you. We have a major patrol tonight and I figured we could use one more holder."
Chloé felt honored. She felt so happy to have the opportunity to have a miraculous again. She grabbed the miraculous and quickly put it in her hair, calling her transformation after a quick hello to Pollen. She followed Ladybug out of the window and across the rooftops, eager to start anew.
---
Luka eagerly waited on the rooftop with the other heroes. He, Chat Noir, Rena Rouge and Carapace were waiting for Ladybug. He was pacing the roof, attracting the attention of the other holders.
"What's got you so worked up, Viperion," Rena asked.
"Yeah, dude. Ladybug just went to get another miraculous holder for you to team up with. It's not like she's never coming back," Carapace teased.
But that was exactly what Luka was concerned about. He had begged Ladybug to reconsider Chloé for the bee miraculous after she stole it. He and Chloé had been dating for half a year since then and he knew that she was worthy to be Queen Bee again. Ladybug, knowing who he was, was obviously hesitant because of their relationship, but he'd managed to convince her that it just meant he knew Chloé better then anyone else.
He was worried that something had gone wrong. That Chloé hadn't accepted. That Ladybug had decided against using her. He knew how badly Chloé wanted a chance to prove herself to Ladybug. She had been through a lot of changes and he knew that this would mean a lot to her. Luckily, Ladybug had agreed before he had to get on his knees.
"My Lady!"
Luka snapped his head to the other side of the roof to see Ladybug arriving. And in tow? His queen. He turned to face them as the other miraculous holders made sure their thoughts were heard.
"Chloé, good to see you," Chat Noir greeted.
"Chloé Bourgeois? Ladybug, you're serious," Rena gaped.
"Yes, Rena, I am," Ladybug assured, placing a hand on Chloé's shoulders when she saw how she deflated. "Chloé has proven herself. And I have it on good word that she's trustworthy."
Luka felt pride swell at those words. He knew Chloé would be amazing. Queen Bee looked past the other heroes to look at him. As far as Luka knew, this was the first time she was ever meeting Viperion. Her eyes locked with his and she raised a hand to do a little wave.
"Queen Bee, you'll be working with Viperion. The rest of you have your assignments. Viperion knows where you two will be patrolling. Come on Kitty."
The other two pairs went off, going to patrol their own parts of the city, leaving Luka and Chloé alone. He approached her, letting a grin spread across his face.
"Good evening, my queen. You look bee-utiful," he greeted cheekily.
"Damn it Luka," she exclaimed. "Do secret identities mean nothing to you?"
Viperion couldn't help his jaw dropping. How the hell had she guessed?!
"Chloé how did you-"
"That pesky cat must be rubbing off on you to make such a horrible pun," Chloé grumbled, reaching up to give him a quick kiss and then walking to the edge of the roof to start patrolling as if she hadn't just FIGURED OUT HIS SECRET IDENTITY.
"Chloé!"
She turned with a questioning hum, looking at his flustered state.
"Let me guess, you're wondering how I guessed your secret identity based off of just that one comment." He nodded quickly, his mouth still slightly parted. "I didn't. I knew the second I saw you. But when you make a comment like that, even Adrien Agreste would have been able to figure it out."
"That's not how miraculous work," Luka said, still having trouble comprehending this. "The suits are magic, no one should be able to figure it out by just looking!"
Chloé scoffed a little and smiled before making her way over to him. She placed her hand on his cheek, lovingly looking up at her boyfriend.
"Luka. I know you. I will always know who you are. No matter what color your hair is, no matter what you're wearing, or what disguise you have on. You're Luka." He still looked confused, wondering how she had essentially broken the laws of magic. She sighed, backing away from him before pointing at his legs. "You're bow-legged. You're the only one I know who is." She lifted her hands up to his ears. "Your ears are still pierced. Those are your earrings." She cupped his face with both palms. "I spend half of my time staring at your face and memorizing every detail. I know the way your eyes move, the way you do a little mouth twitch every time you see me. I know you. Magic can't get in the way of your habits."
Luka's jaw dropped again at her words. He never thought she put that much effort into recognizing his habits.
"I love every single little thing about you," Chloé continued. "I want to spend every second of my time with you learning everything I can about you and all of your little habits. And until the day I know how you like your coffee or what you look like when you wake up in the mornings, I just have to keep memorizing all of your little twitches and quirks."
She pulled away from him, absolute adoration showing in her eyes.
"And thank you, for doing this for me." She began walking to the edge of the roof, looking in the direction neither of the other two teams had gone. "Now shall we start patrolling?"
Luka walked up to her, kissed the top of her head and then took her by the hand. "Three cream and two raw sugars," he told her before jumping off of the roof, his hand never leaving hers.
