What I kind of wish happened? I haven’t written fan fiction in years so not sure how good the writing will be. These plot bunnies just wouldn’t leave me alone though. This is purely wish fulfillment for me. ^.^;
Eight year old Katerina regains her past life memories, vaguely, and avoids getting engaged.
Instead of worrying about meeting her doom, she instead tries to find Prince Gerald a different fiancée so he’ll stop trying to trap her in holy matrimony.

While on an ANBU retrieval mission, Kakashi triggers a curse seal that leaves him without sight, hearing, or speech. On his own and a week's travel away from the village, he has no choice but to rely on an unknown Konoha-nin that he meets on the road to get him home safely.
That Konoha-nin is Iruka Umino, a freshly graduated genin, who may be even more lost than Kakashi is. But at least they're not alone.

Lost this and found it again! :DSo here Iruka gets inspired by his encounter with Hound and makes it to Special Jounin, he also acts as a Sensor. The 2nd time the cursed seal was trigger, Iruka manages to cure it completely! Iruka, Kakashi and Obito hang out and are domestic. Kakashi might foster Naruto? And Obito has a cursed seal over his heart that influences his thought.

Omegas are treated like second class citizens, discriminated against. Iruka presents as omega. He isn’t allowed to graduate and become genin. (Unless he becomes a honey pot, no thank you) instead Iruka takes jobs in the village. At the mission desk, as a teacher, etc.
Iruka healed Kakashi while he was Hound once and that interaction left Kakashi smitten. Unfortunately Iruka is then years later forced to marry him, with only rumors and bad gossip to go on. They are forced to marry so Kakashi won’t go feral. Super freaked out and unhappy about that, Iruka’s rejecting him, while Kakashi is trying his best to make Iruka happy. It gets really terrible actually, how much Iruka is being an asshole to Kakashi.
Thankfully Iruka notices that Kakashi isn’t going to rape him and is just very awkward and adorable. (While also being a very strong and terrifying killer.)
We find out that a doctor who was Iruka’s teacher was the one that raped/sexually assaulted him. I hope Iruka will one day be comfortable telling Kakashi this.
Ch 21Ch 34, man I hope this is a case of Kakashi fell first but Iruka falls harder. Because Kakashi is so nice and very whipped that it’s almost sad. Like, Iruka hasn’t really done much to deserve it. And I’m not saying that Iruka needed to do anything to deserve love. Love isn’t something people need to deserved or earn, but like the devotion Kakashi shows him seems kind of out of place, especially with what an asshole Iruka has been. Though he is finally getting less asshole-ish.

Summary
(Otherwise known as "Iruka and Itachi's Grand Canon-Divergent Adventure")
When acting out results in a failed graduation exam, Umino Iruka ends up retaking his final semester in the Ninja Academy. This leads to a number of mishaps, including, but not limited to: a dastardly prank war with a baby (six-year-old) genius, a surprising genin team assignment, orphanage intrigue, a lot of experimental tags and barriers, an unwanted trip to T&I, evidence of corruption in Konoha, serious injuries, threats both real and imagined, and the occasional afternoon babysitting Sasuke.
It's not easy to befriend Uchiha Itachi, but Iruka’s up to the task.

What if Iruka was part of Itachi’s genin team? Iruka is brilliant at seals and tags, but he doesn’t have a lot of self esteem or even awareness that he does incredible thing with his seals. He can "hear” charkra.

The sight of it made the hairs on the back of Kakashi's neck stand up. It looked so human—but Kakashi knew it wasn't. For a moment, Kakashi had thought this must be a ninja from one of the shark-featured clans from Kirigakure. It would have been easy to explain.
