"Yup," Luka said, a massive grin spreading across his face. She looked around at these people, most of them she'd known for less than twenty-four hours. All of them looked totally okay with what they had just suggested. Chloé was silent for a whole second. A whole second was all she could manage before a smile that matched Luka's made its way onto her face.

So, the children and I came up with a bet this week, that I'm sure they told you about." Luka and Chloé both snapped their eyes over to Thomas who was grinning smugly. They had heard of no such thing. "We proposed that whichever students parents' had the most outrageous story about how they met, would get a free one hundred on the next test and a gift card to the Tom and Sabine Bakery. The class debated on the challenge for a full thirty minutes before Thomas finally suggested the story telling."
Luka and Chloé gaped at their son as the teacher gestured to him. He was sitting so pretty with his arms behind his head and his feet propped up.
