Chapter Text
As soon as you walked into his dorm, Riddle had hated you.
You picked flowers from the garden everyday of the week, mocking him with flowers crowns placed on his head every Wednesday. You took your time when eating, ranging from twenty minutes to an hour, laughing with your nearby seatmates before they left. You claimed to hate tea, bringing a bottle of coffee with your wherever you went.
It’s a miracle he hasn’t overblotted a second time from how much he collared you.
But lately, you had calmed down a little.
“Riddle, your tea,” you set down a cup of lemon tea for him, two sugar cubes and nothing else.
Scratch that, you had calmed down a lot.
He cleared his throat, taking a sip. “You haven’t caused any trouble lately. You’re not planning anything, are you?”
You smiled. “What makes you say that?”
He rolled his eyes. “You haven’t brought any marron tarts or cats to today’s Unbirthday party. You haven’t been picking flowers, you haven’t stolen anything, and you’re actually serving me tea!”
You shrugged. “Well I did come second place in croquet.”
“Knowing you, there must be something wrong,” he narrows his eyes at you, taking another sip of the tea. Is it just him, or does it taste a little too sweet?
“What are you talking about? I told you already, I’ve changed. I’m following the rules from now on.”
His vision blurs and he shuts his eyes. His body is suddenly very weak, and he crumbles to the ground.
He can hear the other dorm members panic, Trey trying to calm them down. You volunteer to carry him to the infirmary.
He feels you lift him into your arms. The chattering of the other dorm members fade away as you leave the party behind.
You lean closer to whisper in his ear. “I’ve waited very long for this. Can you hear me? Prepare yourself, my dear Riddle. We aren’t going to the infirmary.
You laugh, the sound echoing across the hallway. "It’s been so hard to love you from the shadows.”
