the avatar, after re-emerging from the ice berg, heads to his old home with katara and sokka to find any signs of his people. surprised when arriving, the three find someone they didn’t expect.

the airbender population now at a whopping 2 (but hey it doubled in the past 5 minutes- pfft i’m sorry), the three meet the airbender who’s managed to stay alive in the abandoned temple all these years, being kept safe in a meditative state in the spirit realm. they reveal to the three travelers their special exception to their airbending (one of many)- light refraction. by compressing and manipulating the air, y/n can inflict holograms or hallucination type visuals and even protect themself by making themselves (and others) invisible. a style of airbending almost impossible to teach and had been long lost by the time the two airbenders were originally around. the last two airbenders, accompanied by a couple water tribe kids. travel across four nations, colliding with insane kings, tiny earthbenders, bloodbenders, spirits, and one unhonorable prince who for some reason won’t leave the 4 travelers alone. must be clingy or smth.
