Pran took in deep and rough breaths as he tried to calm down his heartbeat and steady himself, he felt as if he was Astro projecting from his body, like he was looking down at himself as Pat stared straight back at him.
He tried to look away almost flustered but before he could, those fierce eyes turned from playfulness to concern. Pat’s expression shifted from the excitement and energy into a look of question and worry.
At the beginning of the match, he knew he had already lost and not just because of the scorching heat from the sun or the lack of motivation he held, but from the way Pat looked in his jersey, as well as his unprovoked, shameless flirting. His surprise phobia also didn’t help.
