Work Text:
Daniel’s laying in this unfamiliar bed, an unfamiliar room, there’s a fire crackling somewhere in the grate close by, and you can’t believe that you’ve been snowed in with your boyfriend of just over a year. It feels like Christmas came early.
A soft dull light passes through the window, as grey and soft as the snow lining the edges of the glass. You’ve just come back in with two steaming mugs of cocoa, when the snow starts falling fast and thick outside, and it’s caked your hair, soft little flakes that are slowly melting into the crease between skin and fabric, making you shiver from the cold, and it’s almost unbearable.
“It’s c—cold,” Your teeth chattering, you sit by the fire and are just about giving up on ever getting warm, when heated hands wrap around you, a blanket is dropped on your shoulders, and a kiss is pressed to your forehead, hot breath on your neck, and your boyfriend gently helps you up.
“C’mere,” he whispers lovingly, shaking his head at you “my arms are warmer...”
Minutes later, you’re warm and comfortable and can’t believe you ever left the comfort and warmth of his arms. You pull the shades against the cold and snuggle against Daniel, smiling slowly “You’re cold as ice,” there’s a kiss that lasts minutes and when you pull away there’s a bright smile which warms you more than anything as you burrow down into the blankets and against his sweater covered chest “I can’t believe I ever left your arms...” he bends to kiss you and captures your lips with his, and not even the frigid chill can get the best of you, since you’ve got love to keep you both warm.
Daniel pulls away when your icy feet touch his and you look over at him with a unamused gaze “Daniel LaRusso you get back here right now? I’m too cold for this,” Daniel laughs and rolls his eyes, but crawls back over and holds you close, warming you from the cold.
You stay curled in his arms till the morning light breaks through the snow covered windows.
