Work Text:
Ponk and Sam constantly heard Foolish and his family throwing around the words "Ex God" when referring to Foolish but not once could they recall anyone ever saying anything of when Foolish was an actual God.
When they realized this separately they went to each other then decided to approach their boyfriend about it.
Foolish was hesitant at first to share the story. He never liked talking about who he used to be and how he used to act but he thought about it for a minute and eventually decided to tell them.
-
When Foolish was a God, he was exactly that.
He was a stupid, foolish and, immature kid who just so happened to have power. He was reckless and wild and he covered his mistakes with his own deceitful ways.
He was alone and angry at the world constantly. He didn't understand the way the world worked and it smacked him in the face more times than he liked to admit.
So when he was met with a challenge about morals, he always chose the option that benefitted him and him only.
Eventually, people started to notice this. How could they not?
They got angry at the 'God'. They hated how he used his power and how he didn't even acknowledge the pain he caused.
One day, another powerful figure much like Foolish, who knew the impact of his power, decided enough was enough.
He met Foolish with an incredibly hard decision that couldn't be avoided. Option one, he knew the other wouldn't choose, would have to actual impact on the other. Option two, the selfish option, would take away the other's powers for good.
And without Foolish knowing each outcome he inevitably chose the latter.
This, of course, took a large impact on Foolish. His whole life he had power fogging his vision and now there was nothing. He could finally see how terrible he had been and how much pain he was causing and yet it was too late to go back and try and fix it.
-
Foolish fell quiet as Ponk and Sam processed everything they were just told.
"I'm ashamed of my past but I've grown and I've gotten better." Foolish finished.
