Ava didnt want to go to the ‘’supperstar daycare’’ , she didnt even want to go to this stupid pizza plex. She wanted to be home , hugging her giant fox stuffie , watching Matilda for the 3,000th time. But no , her big brother had to insist on draging her to this stupid mall filled with stupid people only to drop her off at the stupid daycare so he and his friends could go play gator golf or somthing.
Ava didn't have good experiences with places filled with people , especially people her age. They were always really rude to her and she never knew why , like sure she couldn't control her movements or what she said sometimes , but that wasn't her fault! She couldnt help that she had stupid touretes or whatever!
,” Ava , get off my leg. You gotta go down there,” her brother pointed towards a slide with a sigh that said ‘’ slide into fun’’ hanging over it ,” to go inside the daycare.” she looked up at her big brother, visible pout on her face ,” But ollie , i don't w-*pop*- anna!”
,``First of all , I told you not to call me ollie , it's embarrassing. Second of all , i don't care if you dont want to go , gator golf is made for big kids like me and my friends.” he suddenly scooped Ava up into his arms , walking over to the slide and holding her in a sitting position in front of it ,” and you , my dear little sister , are certainly not a big kid. Now have fun.” he then proceeded to push her down the slide , causing Ava to let a string of child appropriate swears.
All too quickly she fell straight into the ballpit that sat at the bottom of the slide , god she hated her brother. She pushed herself out of the ballpit and onto the padded ground , only almost falling over once. She looked around , and luckily for her , there were only about 10 to 20 kids left since there was like only 3 more hours until closing. She could probably hide in the play structures and avoid everyone until her brother picked her up. She was about to do just that but all of a sudden a pair of warm hands scoop her up.
She begins flailing around , trying to escape the possible kidnappers grip. Suddenly she was turned around to face her captor only to see the sunny animatronic that was the daycare attendant. ,” hello new friend! Welcome to the daycare , oh you're gonna have so much fun! What do you wanna do, friend?” she wiggled in his grasp once more before stopping ,” Can you -* pop*- put me down s-AK-ir.” The sun animatronic immediately complied ,” So what do ya wanna do? We can finger paint , play hide and seek , OO! Or we could start a game of tag with the other kids! Or we could do something else , I don't mind!”
She thought for a moment before responding ,” Tag.” she simply stated , if the sun thing was busy chasing after other kids , he wouldn't have time to worry about her. Sun , unknowing of the little girl's plan, immediately smiled as he called for the other kids.
Soon a circle formed around the sun animatronic , and Ava stepped back into the crowd so as to not stick out ,” alright kiddos , we're gonna play tag! Who wants to be it?” a few hands flew up and sun looked around as if pondering who he should pick ,” hmmmm… I pick…” he hesitated a few seconds before pointing at Ava ,” YOU!`` Ava was stunned , really?! Out of all of the people he could’ve picked , he picked her?
,” Everyone! That kid is it! Run before they tag us!” and with that everyone ran off leaving ava standing there alone.why how amazing , just amazing. Now she had to actually play or the other kids would get mad at her. So after a few seconds she started searching. She walked around the play area , trying to be as quiet as possible as to not alert the others that she was close. Though the occasional pop ,whistle , or a hurt ow from a particularly harsh twitch of the neck broke the silence.
After looking around for a few minutes she heard giggling from inside a bright blue tube and quickly climbed to it , silently sneaking inside and tapping the brown haired boy on the shoulder before shouting ,” Tag , you're it!” Then she ran for it , hearing the kids' footsteps thump behind her. She ran until she came across another play structure which she quickly divded into , the other kid ran right past her. She turned around letting out a sigh of relief only to be met with a young boy's face right in front of hers. She let out a squeal as her head jerked to the left , the boy didn't seem to notice the twitch ,” hello friend , i'm sorry for scaring you , i didn't know you were in here.” he whispered , and she looked at him confused ,” How did you -*pop*- not know I was here? You were lo-woop-oking right at me?”
,”Oh! Im blind, ehe.” the blonde boy giggled out nervously ,”Oh , sorry*pop*...”
,” it's alright new friend , my name is Noah, what's yours?”
,” My names Ava , oh , and uh i h-AK-have tourettes..”
,” Okay! Do you wanna stick together for the rest of the game- oh wait are you it?”
,” no , i'm not it , i tagged some- LEMON JUICE -one earlier , and sure we can stick together.”
The boy smiled at her ,” Awesome!” Suddenly loud footsteps could be heard coming near the play structure they were in. Ava grabbed Noah’s hand ,” Follow me , someones coming this way.” The girl walked up the play structures stairs with the boy trailing behind her , still holding her hand.
Suddenly they came across a bridge with rope working as rails to prevent children throwing themselves off ,” Hey No- *pop*- Noah , we’re going over a bridge. J- AK- ust wanted to tell you.” the boy nodded and the two both carefully walked over the bridge over to the next play structure. They were about to turn the corner until a red headed kid ran up to them , ready to tag them. The girl quickly turned around and ran towards the first slide she saw and pushed Noah down the slide before going down herself.
At the bottom of the slide she quickly helped noah up to his feet ,” You a- *pop*- alright?”
,” Uhm , yeah. Why’d you do that?”
,” Someone was about to tag - AK -us , sorry , but we sh- ALI-GAT-OR - ould probably run.”
,” Yeah you're probably right , lead the way my friend “ Ava quickly grabbed his hand , before running off to the next play structure , Noah keeping up with her pace. They eventually hid in a tube tunnel. ,” So , how old are you , ava?” she looked over to the boy ,” Oh im 7! How old are you?”
,” Oh I'm 5! If you don't mind me asking , What do you look like , what do... I look like?"
,” Uhm.. I have short black hair and pale skin. My hair is also really curly. I have green eyes and I have a birthmark under my eye that looks like a duck. You have light blonde hair , and large brown eyes. Your skin is pale like mine and you have freckles.”
,” You sound very pretty new friend!” She smiled at him ,” thank you Noa-h.”
,” No problem friend!”
The rest of the time Ava was in the daycare was spent talking to Noah in that tube until that darn sun guy scooped them both out of the tunnel and over to the pick up area , passing Noah over to what Ava assumed to be his mom , and giving her over to her brother.
As her and her brother left the building , she blabbered on and on about her new friend and how she wanted to go back. ,'' Okay, for god's sake. If you shut up ill take you back there this sunday , alright?” Ava nodded her head aggressively.
For once oliver got a silent car ride back home.
