   Carl Grimes was fourteen years old when the farm fell, he was left behind thought to be dead. When Negan comes across him he sees an opportunity, he needs an heir and Carl needs a dad. Negan shows Carl how to take and hold power, teaches him if he wants control he sure as hell better put fear into the hearts of those who he needs to.

   When they come across Rick's group again four and a half years later eighteen-year-old Carl wants revenge and has a particular girl in mind he wants to take as his wife. Negan takes a fancy to a certain archer, and from there Beth and Daryl must learn to please their new masters who rule with an iron fist or be punished.
