Sam finishes up the icing on his fingers, not liking how dog-like he felt in that moment. His head tilted to the side, but his glare was evident. “Admit… what?”
Dream’s shoulders fall. “Admit that you’re an idiot. Is your memory going, too? It’s only been two days since I was here last.”
Sam blinked, gawking for a moment. “You let me starve… for two days?”
Dream snorts. “Yeah. And? You didn’t listen, so that’s your punishment. But, look- I brought a cake to you today, and you still don’t want to listen? Isn’t that a little selfish?”
Sam thinks about it for too long. “That’s… that’s not selfish. I…”
“How is it not? I’m being- kind, you know? Feeding you cake. Telling you what’s going on outside. How much time has passed. And- look!” He shuffles around his pockets and pulls out a clock. Sam’s eyes go wide.
“A clock! For you! I just need you to admit one, measly thing. Can you do that for me?”
