For you even the impossible is possible

Summary:

Dazai had planned that week for months. It would be the first week in which he could be free and independent, but at no time had it occurred to him that his own biology would ruin everything.
The good thing was that, as always, (prince) Chuuya would come to the rescue.

Or:

Dazai having his first heat and Chuuya taking care of him despite /absolutely/ everything.

Work Text:

When your parents finally acknowledge, after all the effort you put into earning their trust, that you're responsible enough to stay home alone for a week, the last thing you expect is for your bad luck to ruin absolutely everything.

"Ugh... No... Why now?"

Though Dazai wouldn't consider it "bad luck" to wake up on his first day of freedom and independence with a strange dampness between his butt cheeks, fever, dizziness, and so much thirst that the concept of saliva seemed to have left his brain, but rather, "non-existent luck."

Despite not having much strength yet, he sat up in bed and scooted back a bit, making an expression of disgust due to the slippery feeling on his skin and the fact that the fabric of his boxers had been unable to contain all of his slick, so his sheet had a small wet spot on it as well.

"Eww"

Dazai grabbed his cell phone and sent a message without thinking too much about it before quickly heading to the bathroom. Without changing his expression he took off his clothes and stepped into the bathtub, in which he sat down as his legs felt particularly weak that morning.

With the warm water running over his head and back, Dazai relaxed for a few minutes in which he soaped his body and cleaned it as much as he could, accepting the fact that he would have to do it again in a few hours.

Presenting was not, at all, in his plans for that week.

His cell phone lit up and rang with three consecutive notifications with a special tone, indicating that his message had finally been read and answered.

/Chibi: Osamu, I'm here/

/Chibi: Can you open the door?/

/Chibi: Or should I come in through the window?/

Smiling as he remembered the times when Chuuya entered his room through the window, -being grounded was no impediment at all when your best friend had a Disney prince complex- Dazai hurried to cover himself with his robe and open the door for Chuuya, who, by the look on his face, had clearly gotten out of his bed only to run all the way to his home.

"Thank you for coming so fast Chuuya"

"Mm, are you okay? Did something happen?" the red-haired boy sat down on the first chair he could find, rubbing his eyes with both hands in an attempt to wake up faster, not noticing how small the brunette's voice sounded.

"Chuuya..."

"Yes?"

"I presented"

It was then that the sleep that still lingered in his body and mind disappeared and, on the contrary, hundreds of ideas and advice he had heard throughout his life popped up, leaving him breathless for a moment.

"You... Presented?"

The brunette nodded his head as he hugged himself a little tighter than he was already doing and since he was now no longer alone and felt safe, the tears he had been holding back so far began to fall.

"Hey, no, don't cry, come here"

Crying in Chuuya's arms wasn't in his plans for that week either, but there he was, with his forehead resting on his best friend's shoulder, crying like he was a child unable to control his fear of the unknown again.

Chuuya stroked his hair with one hand and his back with the other, up and down, effectively soothing him while whispering encouraging words in his ear.

His friend was shorter than him, so his body was a little bent in his arms, but the red-haired never complained, on the contrary, he kept hugging him until the tears stopped falling.

Over the next few hours, Dazai dressed properly, wearing the underwear his mother had recommended and had breakfast with Chuuya as they created a plan so that his heat wouldn't be a nightmare for either of them.

"Well, I think we'll be fine, if you need anything we haven't written down just let me know if you can and I'll take care of it, ok?"

"Yeah..." The stories of various omegas in his life kept popping into his mind. The pain scared him as well as losing consciousness and becoming completely vulnerable.

Chuuya's hand on his, gently stroking his skin with his thumb helped him not to cry again.

In his mind, Osamu had created the ideal scenario in which he would spend his first heat with his mother by his side, accompanying and taking care of him, probably like when he was a child and only had a fever. In his mind, it was just like that, like a little flu. Fever, aching muscles, some dizziness and nausea, but the reality was uncomfortably different.

The first few hours of the day were easy to cope with, as the symptoms were not strong, just enough for Dazai to have no doubt that it was his first heat.

They both distracted themselves by playing video games and eating snacks, simulating the first day Osamu had planned.

Later in the night, Dazai took another shower before dinner and several rounds of a new video game later, he fell asleep on the couch.

Chuuya took him in his arms before he fell fast asleep and carried him to his room, laying him gently on the bed.

Since he had arrived at the house in the morning, it was the first time he had entered the brunette's room and since changing the style of his room was Osamu's way of dealing with big changes, Chuuya felt he should appreciate the last days of the current decor.

Trying not to wind his feet or his abdomen, Chuuya covered him with his blankets, smiling as Osamu settled on his side, looking much calmer than he had hours ago.

Just as they had planned in the morning, he went to the kitchen and returned to the bedroom to leave a bottle of water on the bedside table and some pills in case Osamu felt pain.

As he walked out, Chuuya couldn't help but notice how the scent of the omega, this time sweeter and stronger than usual, began to fill every corner of the room.

The next morning, Dazai woke up due to cramps in his lower abdomen, which made him take a pill even before he opened his eyes.

It was only the beginning of his second day, but the intensity of his symptoms compared to the previous day was noticeably different.

The pain was stronger, and while the pill would help, it would not take it away completely. The high temperature as well as the sensitivity of his skin made him feel so uncomfortable that he wanted to take off all his clothes and get under the shower until it all went away.

His brain didn't seem to be functioning properly either, as his train of thought kept getting lost. He wasn't sure if he was dizzy or disoriented. Probably both. Or was he delirious from the fever? Was that even a fever?

Still, despite everything, Dazai made the effort to sit up and pull the blankets off him, only to regret it seconds later.

The smell of his fluids filled the air in a matter of seconds, blending seamlessly with that of his scent. Embarrassment joined his hormones in heating him up even more as he imagined what would happen if Chuuya walked into his room.

His friend had not yet presented, so his sense of smell was not fully developed, but he was sure it would not be necessary, the smell was so strong that even a beta could notice his cycle. For that reason, despite his legs shaking like never before, Osamu got out of his bed and headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower and clean his room before Chuuya woke up, after all, it was still very early.

But that week was definitely not his week.

As soon as he heard the sound of the shower, Chuuya hurried to finish the breakfast he was preparing to take it to the room.

In many internet forums, omegas of all ages said they didn't want to get out of their nests when they were in heat, so Chuuya decided to do everything in his power so that Osamu wouldn't have to get out of bed unless it was to go to the bathroom or take a shower.

Before carrying everything, Chuuya decided to carry a tray that would serve as a table, after all he didn't want to make a mess.

A dense wave of smells crashed against him as soon as he opened the door, leaving him standing still and unable to breathe or think for several seconds.

Compared to the scent of the night before, the intensity of Osamu's scent as well as what he assumed were his fluids, -and it was probably just his slick, but the thought of it embarrassed him enough to make him blush- was completely different.

With quick, long steps, Chuuya walked towards the window and opened it wide. The cool, fresh air coming in from outside contrasted noticeably with the hot air in the room.

And he didn't know it, but Dazai was dying of embarrassment inside the bathroom.

When he came out, Chuuya greeted him with a smile and without the need for words, helped him walk to his bed, taking him firmly by the waist.

Repressing the reaction that little touch caused him was difficult, but not impossible. Not when he could focus on the beautiful tray with his breakfast on it and how hungry he was instead.

"How are you feeling?"

"Like shit, duh"

Without a doubt, breakfast always tastes better with a few laughs.

The second morning was completely different from the first.

Chuuya was constantly by his side in case he needed anything, be it water, food, his console or cold cloths on his forehead.

Night came in the blink of an eye, which surprised him, as he didn't remember falling asleep at any point.

The first thing he noticed was Chuuya entering his room with a new bottle of water and a strange expression on his face. When they exchanged glances Chuuya fixed his eyes on his, smiling with what seemed to be relief and it only confirmed to him that he definitely hadn't fallen asleep at any point.

Dazai hid his face in his pillow, closed his eyes tightly and let out a groan that was only muffled thanks to the huge pillow, this time giving no importance to the wet sensation on his butt nor to the fact that his sheets were sticking to his skin due to sweat.

"It wasn't as bad as you're imagining, believe me"

Another whimper was the only thing that came out of his throat, perfectly demonstrating how he felt.

Chuuya's laughter made him pull away from the pillow to look at him and stick his tongue out, earning another laugh, one he couldn't help but copy.

"It really wasn't that bad Chuuya?"

"Nope"

"I didn't beg or ask you for anything like in the movies did I?"

Chuuya didn't answer immediately, instead he averted his gaze to the plate full of cookies next to him and took one, showing it to Dazai.

"You want cookies?"

"Chuuya!"

Minutes later, Dazai accepted that nothing would come out of his friend's mouth and decided to take another bath -which was making him tired. He loved feeling clean but taking three baths a day wasn't funny at all- and have something to eat.

The good thing about it being his first heat was that, the next morning, his symptoms began to ease quickly, always staying at the same level.

Still, Chuuya never stopped taking care of him. He always had pills and water nearby, as well as small snacks, which, it turns out, are what he fed him on his second day while he was not conscious.

Dazai felt his emotional stability return to him as the hours passed and decided he was ready to call his parents and tell them what had happened. It was no surprise that the couple canceled their vacation and headed home at that very moment.

While they waited, Osamu again had some cramps that made him go back to bed. Chuuya followed him to stay with him in case he needed anything and the weight of the last few days fell on both of them in different ways.

Dazai closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of Chuuya's hands combing his hair with his fingers and occasionally stroking his forehead and eyebrows.

"Thank you" it was a whisper, but the silence they were in made it sound loud and clear.

"For what?"

"For taking care of me..." Opening his heavy eyelids took conscious effort, but when he managed it, his gaze locked on Chuuya's. "...Thank you Chibi."

Dazai couldn't decipher what, but Chuuya's gaze was different from what he was used to. His eyes were still the same blue, the intensity of his personality was reflected in the same way and yet, there was something different.

"Mm"

No matter how many things he wanted to say, Chuuya failed to make any of those words come out of his mouth, so he continued with his caresses, which ended up lulling Dazai to sleep.

Chuuya was the first to see Dazai's parents, who thanked him a thousand times for taking care of Osamu in a situation that, handled otherwise, could have been unsafe and even dangerous for both of them.

After giving a short but detailed explanation of what had happened to Osamu's mother, Chuuya said goodbye to both of them and headed home.

The couple was touched by the sight of their son sound asleep in his bed and the small details that indicated that Chuuya had taken care of even the smallest things, such as combing his hair and wiping his face with wet towels when bathing was not an option at the moment and the sweat was too much.

From the next morning, they would take care of him until his cycle was over for good.

Chuuya, for his part, sighed in relief when he entered his house and no one was home. They probably thought he was still at Osamu's house and had gone out for dinner.

Climbing the stairs up to his room was genuinely the most painful thing he had done so far.
His body and mind were exhausted, but that didn't stop him from heading to the bathroom and turning on the shower. He carefully removed his clothes, hissing as the fabric took with it some of the many patches he had on.

The warm water felt like heaven itself against his hot skin, which he had ignored since it all started as his only goal these days was to take care of Osamu and keep him safe from anything. Including himself.

His eyes were fixed on the ceiling, ignoring all his thoughts, memories and instincts, as well as the sight of his member and that new but painful detail at the base that for hours was ignored.

His body could be considered small for a man, as well as for an Alpha, but if there was something gigantic that Chuuya had, it was his will.

Notes:

Hello hello!
How are you?
Did you eat anything today?
Did you drink water?
Did you stretch your body?
Did you rest your eyes?
Because if not, please do <3

After several months of struggling, I finally wrote my first ABO fic.
It may be a bit of a mess but I love it so much.

Trying something new once in a while, especially something you want from the heart heals the soul, believe me.

My notes are kind of messy, like my writing, but I hope you like my new baby at least a little bit.

Bye bye!
