Summary
In the previous story, Chuuya hired his husband for an intelligence job to sneak some anonymous help to Kouyou, and Dazai elected to be paid in favors rather than money. Today, as part of the invoice, Chuuya is taking a pole dancing lesson, and his bestie Yosano joins him. One thing leads to another, and when Chuuya gets home, he combines pole dancing with a striptease for his husband.
Excerpt:
Chuuya came out of the bedroom with a messenger bag slung over his shoulder and headed toward the front door of their apartment. Dazai immediately rose from the sofa with a smirk and intercepted him, leaning down for a kiss.
Chuuya threw him a mildly peevish look, but leaned up and gave him a peck.
“You have fun, now,” Dazai said in a sultry voice as he stepped out of Chuuya’s way.
“Yeah, yeah,” Chuuya sighed as he reached the genkan and began putting on his shoes. “At least I’ll have Yosano with me.”

Summary
When Chuuya arrives for his weekly visit, he finds that there is still some resistance to Kouyou as Boss, and asks his friends at the Port Mafia to make sure she's receiving sufficient support. Later that day, Dazai is retained by a client who wishes to remain confidential, asking him to help out with the situation by providing Kouyou with better intel, giving her the tools to make an impression.
Excerpt:
Chuuya lowered his tone further, well aware of the looks they were getting. “Does that mean you would follow my lead now?”
The man’s eyes widened, and he leaned in conspiratorially. “Yes,” he said eagerly.
“Well, if you really want to follow my lead,” Chuuya whispered, and then he raised his voice so that it rang through the corridor. “Then you fucking respect the Boss, dumbass. Because if I were still here, I’d have been the first to bend the knee to her, and proud to do it. Go beg for forgiveness. And you’re gonna need to pray she’ll be merciful to you, you treasonous piece of shit, because there’s gonna be a long line volunteering to be the one to make you bite the curb.”

Summary
After the Port Mafia leadership has dealt with Mori's death internally, Kouyou asks Chuuya and Dazai if they will host a meeting between the four gifted organizations, so that she can break the news of Mori's death to the two that aren't yet aware: the Armed Detective Agency and the Special Operations Division. For some, this is just information, but for others, there are a lot of emotions to process.
Excerpt:
As Chuuya took his seat at the table, he looked toward the foot and saw Fukuzawa’s face. He looked tired and drawn, unlike when he had emerged from the elevator.
Ah, Chuuya thought with sympathy. I guess it was pretty obvious.
Nevertheless, Fukuzawa opened the discussion with a question, as if he hadn’t already figured it out, or as if he were hoping to be proven wrong.
“And where is Doctor Mori?” he asked.
Chuuya looked at Kouyou. For the first time, she was showing pity rather than hostility.
“The wake will be tonight, and the funeral will be tomorrow,” she said gently. “I know that you were partners once. You are welcome to join us.”
Fukuzawa bowed his head for a moment. “Thank you,” he said. “I will do so.”

Summary
Mori has grown more and more resentful of Chuuya leaving the Port Mafia. When Higuchi's stealth ability manifested, he demanded it be trained in secret. Dazai & Chuuya have done their best to mollify him so that he wouldn't cut Chuuya off from his friends in the mafia, but at the end of the last story, they were hired by the government to protect a shipment of experimental weapons from a foreign mercenary group. All was going well until the Port Mafia unexpectedly made a play for it and Soukoku foiled them.
Excerpt:
Mori walked back to his desk and sat down behind it. He yanked a scalpel out of the wooden top and began spinning it, periodically stabbing it back into the desktop, and Higuchi gathered every speck of willpower she possessed to not break down.
“I have a mission for you,” Mori said, his voice empty and terrifying. “You will complete the mission this weekend and report success to me in person no later than Monday morning at eight a.m. If you do not, Akutagawa will die.”
Higuchi’s eyes went wide, and she felt as though she had been punched in the gut. No, she thought desperately.
“You will kill Nakahara Chuuya and Dazai Osamu,” Mori said with finality.

Summary
Somehow things are actually looking up this week. Mori's pleased with Higuchi's progress and has let her go back to her normal duties, and her new relationship with Akutagawa is progressing. Chuuya and Dazai have a number of entertaining and enjoyable cases this week, and while Mori's weird resentment of Chuuya was alarming last week and continued to peak through the start of this story, he seems to have calmed down as the week unfolded. Dazai's starting to think things might not be so bad. Maybe things are going to be okay. Everybody just has to keep Mori happy. Easy enough, right?

Excerpt:
“Oh, my god, this looks so fucking stupid,” Chuuya moaned.
“You think you look stupid, how do you think I feel- ow!” Yosano said as they landed with a thud.
Chuuya released her knees with one arm, supporting her shoulders with the other as her feet swung to the ground. He steadied her for a moment till he was sure she had her balance and a firm grip on her bag, and then loped over to the group of people gathered around the scene of the accident, all staring open-mouthed at them.
“Who called?” he asked, and one of the paramedics raised his hand.

Summary
For my Soukoku, Dazai and Chuuya have a healthy relationship. When they first met, they got off on the wrong foot, and while they became attracted to each other very quickly, neither even allowed themselves to realize it, as their subconscious was trying to protect them from rejection and they disguised their feelings as antipathy. Once they reunited in the Port Mafia's prison, they recognized their long-suppressed feelings, and so they no longer had a reason to fight (in their personal lives).
So if you're into the kind of Soukoku where they have a very unhealthy, destructive relationship - the whole I hate you but I want you - you will NOT find it here.
This series is basically slice-of-life. It begins in the Port Mafia's prison, and because that goes differently, I diverge from canon fairly quickly afterward. Think of it as the butterfly effect. Changing Dazai & Chuuya's dynamic ends up affecting broader events to create an alternate timeline. So most things from chronologically subsequent arcs won't occur in this divergence.

Summary
When Chuuya wakes up in the middle of an ongoing fight without any memory of how he got there or what happened to him, he ends up turning to someone saved as 'bandage-waster' in his phone. Somehow, it just feels like the right decision.

Summary
By virtue of being an influential yakuza member, Chuuya could fill a book with a list of his enemies and people who want to see him fail. So, it's not a surprise when someone tries to get to him through Dazai. But just because it isn't a surprise doesn't mean it's a situation to be taken lightly.
