Summary
Dazai and Chuuya participate in normal-people activities, which are quite special to them, having led such wildly abnormal lives up to now. They take down their Christmas decorations. And make a New Year's decoration. And invite Atsushi and Kyouka over to make a New Year's decoration too. And I can only conclude that Atsushi has decided he wants to be Chuuya when he grows up.
Excerpt:
“So I was thinking, if we have free time, it might be nice to try another normal-people thing this afternoon.”
Chuuya threaded his arm through Dazai’s, heart thumping with eagerness. Despite the fact that he had lived so much more life since they were fifteen than Dazai had, he still didn’t think of himself as normal or, often, human. Doing so-called ‘normal’ things with Dazai went a long way toward making him feel like an ordinary human being. “Sounds good to me,” he said a little breathlessly. “Got something specific in mind?”

Summary
For their first Christmas as a married couple, Chuuya and Dazai:
Go to Tokyo Disneyland in chapter 1;
Decorate a tree and listen to Christmas songs in chapter 2:
Conduct the first Great Mistletoe War in chapter 3:
And make Christmas cookies together and have a quiet evening at home in chapter 4.Excerpt from chapter 3:
Chuuya toweled his hair and wrapped the towel around his neck. He combed his hair carefully and then gently toweled it once more to fluff it. He tossed the towel into the hamper, applied deodorant, and dressed in his black slacks and white shirt.
He opened the bathroom door and stared straight into the wall of his husband’s chest. His gaze travelled upward.
“What the fuck?” he asked mildly.
Dazai gave him that devilish smile that foretold no good, and sang, “Why Chuuya, thank you!” He leaned down and kissed Chuuya thoroughly.
As he withdrew, standing upright with a smirk, Chuuya looked up at him, dazed. “And what prompted that?” he asked, bewildered.
As if it were obvious, Dazai said, “You were standing under the mistletoe.”

Summary
This story wraps up the arc that began with It's Not A Joint Mission, in which Chuuya went undercover in the Yokohama Pop Idol competition in order to bug a meeting between a minister and an information broker.
Dazai and Chuuya discuss decommissioning Chuuya's cover identity, and Dazai gets whisked away for a private meeting with the information broker.
Excerpt:
Dazai lowered himself comfortably into the corner of the sofa, one long leg stretched out along the back of the seat and the other on the floor. Chuuya settled himself between his husband’s legs and lay back against his chest, and as Dazai wrapped his arms around Chuuya’s waist, Chuuya folded his own arms over Dazai’s, hands loosely gripping his husband’s forearms. Dazai planted a kiss on the top of Chuuya’s head and relaxed.
“Hm,” Dazai said thoughtfully. “In the spirit of full disclosure, I should probably let you know how I’m handling Kousei.”
“Do you have to?” Chuuya asked lazily. “How much am I gonna hate it?”

Summary
In last week’s story, It’s Not A Joint Mission, the Armed Detective Agency borrowed Chuuya from the Port Mafia to go undercover in the Yokohama Pop Idol competition. Chuuya is glad to finally be back to his real job; busting heads is much more his speed than undercover work. But his first day back is stressful, as he was very convincing as a pop idol, and some of his colleagues are looking at him a little differently.
Chuuya handles it.
Excerpt:
Chuuya stood in front of his office door, hands balled into loose fists in his pockets. He stared at the collage of pictures of ‘Kousei’ from the Yokohama Pop Idol competition affixed to his door. In the battle between wry amusement and irritation, irritation was already ahead by a nose.
‘If I take them down right away, will someone put up a new batch, or will they take the hint?’ he wondered.

Summary
The ADA needs to bug a meeting in order to confirm a minister is selling information to an information broker. Unfortunately, the information broker is extremely competent and has excellent security.
The one possible gap that Dazai can find in the security arrangements? An after-party for the finalists of the Yokohama Pop Idol competition.
There's only one person the ADA knows that could make it to the finals of the competition, but he works for the Port Mafia. And unfortunately, despite the truce, this isn't a joint mission, so the Port Mafia will require something in exchange.
Excerpt:
“Dazai, we are in negotiations with - ah,” Mori said, looking down the Agency side of the table. “We’ll just leave it at that, for public consumption. We will accept your services as the Port Mafia’s negotiator, in exchange for Chuuya’s services in your sting operation.”

Summary
In They Think It's a Trap (#32 in this series), Chuuya used Corruption, and a foreign ability user was able to lull Arahabaki temporarily. While she was unable to dismiss Arahabaki, her actions allowed Chuuya to awaken within his body while Arahabaki was still in control.
Now, Chuuya has to use Corruption again. And now that he knows he doesn't have to surrender control completely for Arahabaki to get the job done -
He's not going to.
Excerpt:
Facing forward, he swaggered into the clearing, pulling off his gloves. “Grantors of dark disgrace,” he began, and then his smile grew wider. Intent matters, he thought. I don’t have to surrender control. I can just - loan it out temporarily.
With a feral smile, he stalked forward. “Grantors of dark disgrace,” he said, and his mouth curved viciously. “Wake me in five minutes.”

Summary
Back in stories 44 & 45, A Nice Person and But Don’t Tell Him That, Chuuya stepped in and helped the ADA out in the aftermath of a traumatic mission. The ADA was very grateful for his assistance, and uniformly agreed that he was a good person. Chuuya was noticeably upset by that label, and they agreed to not press the issue, even if they didn’t understand why it bothered him.
Dazai, however, understood, even if Chuuya himself didn’t, and has been waiting for the last six months for the other shoe to drop. Today it finally does, and this time Dazai is the one who’s there to provide support.

Summary
The Halloween party is being held at the Port Mafia offices. Some love the excuse to dress sexy, and some are just there for the company.
Excerpt:
“Wow,” Yosano said, releasing the hug and immediately reaching for her phone again. “You are hot as hell.” She took a couple of pictures of Chuuya, and one of Dazai. “So, angel and demon, huh? Nice.”
Chuuya grinned playfully at her, and Dazai said, amused, “I’m guessing you two are a study in opposites as well.”
In answer, Yosano removed her coat and handed it to Kunikida.
“Jesus fuck!” Chuuya blurted, his eyes bulging.

Summary
Chatting on the sofa one afternoon, Dazai asks Chuuya why he’s never seen him use his ability when dancing. Hearing Dazai’s take on it, Chuuya is inspired to try it.
Chuuya in motion is always a breathtaking sight for Dazai, so it’s hardly a surprise that he is captivated by his husband’s dancing.
Excerpt:
Dazai raised his head a few inches. In a husky voice, he spoke in Chuuya’s ear.
“May I?”
Chuuya twitched as that voice reached into him and plucked the strings of his libido. Dazai’s breath on his ear sent a rush of heat through him, and his arousal firmed.
“I’ll fucking kick your ass if you don’t,” he vowed.
A dark smile bloomed on Dazai’s face, and he hefted Chuuya in his arms, resettling the smaller man’s weight over his hips, and strode toward the bedroom.

Summary
Soukoku are called in to do the impossible. Super easy, barely an inconvenience. Fukuzawa and Mori arrange a little after party for all involved. The after party starts off rocky, but fun is had by all.
Excerpt:
The mission was impossible, by definition.
Joseph Heller could not be stopped. His ability, Catch-22, was so powerful that it had become the default idiom for anything fundamentally impossible.
“Conveniently,” said Mori in a self-satisfied tone, “for the two of you, impossible is just another Tuesday.” He steepled his hands on the top of the Agency’s conference table as Elise rolled her eyes from the seat next to him.
“It’s Wednesday,” Elise and Dazai said simultaneously, with matching expressions of derision.

Summary
In story #58, Respect, Tachihara was violently evicted from the Port Mafia when his obsession with Chuuya began interfering with his work. Deprived of that obsession, he has turned his focus back to getting revenge for his brother. Fortunately, Yosano has the most powerful guardian angels in Japan looking out for her. If you read the tags, you already know that this will conclude the Tachihara side story.
Excerpt:
Halfway across the crosswalk, Yosano and Kunikida heard a car approaching the intersection from behind them, but didn’t see a jagged chunk of metal enter the road and prop itself at a sharp angle just as the fast car reached it.
They heard the violent pop of a tire bursting and the squeal of brakes, and turned their heads to see a small blue hatchback, now out of control, skidding straight for them.
Before they could react, the car was enveloped in a red glow and moved back into its lane, coming to a quick stop.
“You guys okay?”

Summary
The morning after Speak From The Gut, Dazai and Chuuya wake up and continue their discussion from the night before. Later, at work, Dazai and Kunikida go on an emergency mission and are captured by the enemy. Dazai is a very good boy and keeps all his promises.
Canon-typical violence can absolutely make for a soft, fluffy story, when it's my beloved Soukoku.
Excerpt:
Dazai lay in bed, hands laced together over his chest, staring at the ceiling. The covers tugged a little to the left as Chuuya stirred, and Dazai turned his head to look at his husband. A mop of disheveled red hair lifted off the pillow, and light shone off an eye through the tumbled curls, and then the covers started moving as if a herd of cats had started a migration underneath.
There was a brief, cool draft as the covers between them rose, and then the draft was replaced with the scorching heat of Chuuya’s body pressing against Dazai’s side. Dazai wrapped his arm around the petite redhead as he arranged himself half-on, half-off Dazai, one leg wrapped over the taller man’s hip and one arm folded over Dazai’s chest. Chuuya rested his chin on the back of his hand and looked at Dazai with droopy-eyed intensity.

Summary
Atsushi’s combat training with Chuuya is going really well. Which is really bad. But no problem, we have a Yosano.
Excerpt:
'Oh, fuck,' Chuuya thought with astonishing clarity. Somehow, despite not having time to react physically, he had time to think to himself, 'Taught me a lesson about complacency,' and then time sped up as he ignored the agonizing pain of having his arm nearly ripped off and focused his ability on Atsushi, pinning him in place in a red glow.
Falling to his knees, he managed, “Good one, kid,” and then suppressed a noise of pain. A few ragged breaths later, he panted, “We’re done -” and after another grunt, “Stand down.”

Summary
Dazai and Chuuya go out for drinks and to play pool with Chuuya's friends Inoue, Tanaka, and Sato to celebrate Inoue's promotion to squad leader of the Black Lizard. (See the story Respect if you don't know why there's a vacancy.) (Chuuya's friends appeared previously in Please Let Me Take You Home, and in Osamu.)
Fun is had, and teasing is had, and yes, Dazai's a pool shark. And a relentless flirt.
Excerpt:
Chuuya looked at the table. His eyes darted this way and that as he surveyed each shot and found it blocked by another ball, until -
“Oh, you fucking evil bastard,” he swore. “Really?” He glared at Dazai, but with humor this time.
“I said I’d let the punishment fit the crime,” Dazai replied. “Payback.” He smirked.

Summary
Before Chuuya agreed to date Dazai, they agreed that they would never allow their personal life to interfere with their professional loyalties, and that they would never hold anything done on the clock against each other in their personal lives. To this end, when either is on the clock, they disclose it. This has happened a few times, but today, for the first time, they're both working at the same time against each other.
They navigate these tricky waters with ease, but one of Chuuya’s colleagues fails to meet the same standard of professionalism.
Excerpt:
Chuuya was interrupted by his phone. Looking at the caller ID, he met Mori’s eyes and swiped the phone to speaker, holding it up. Enunciating clearly, he said, “You’re on speaker, and I’m on the clock.”
Dazai’s voice came from the phone, amused. “Ah, then you already know. Well, this is your formal notice. Next time I see you, I will be on the clock as well.”

Summary
When an apartment building collapses in the wee hours one Saturday morning, Yosano and several other Agency members volunteer for search and rescue. A gravity wielder would be invaluable in the rescue efforts, but Chuuya can’t publicly engage in an activity that Mori wouldn’t approve.
Conveniently, Dazai knows someone nobody else has ever heard of, who can accomplish exactly the same thing that Chuuya would have.
Excerpt:
Chuuya looked at Dazai, then back at the message from Yosano. 'Please.' No details, no explanations. Just a desperate plea for help. He looked up at Dazai again. “Dazai. You know I can’t go against Mori’s orders, or do something that will undermine the Port Mafia.” His eyes bored into Dazai’s, willing him to understand.
Dazai’s eyes softened. “I understand,” he reassured Chuuya. As he rose from the bed, his expression was calculating. His thumb moved across his phone and he put it to his ear.
