Let's face it, the reason Childe agreed to be the bodyguard for the lovely lady scientist is because he thought that just like her mentor, there would be multiple enemies trying to get her heart.
On the one hand, he likes the girl enough to want to protect her, and on the other hand, getting paid to fight is the best an ex-fatui like him can get.
It's just that … In the attempt to protect her heart, she ended up capturing his.
"Mister Childe... Is it alright if it's here?"
His adorable Sucrose asks as she looks up where their eyes meet, and Childe swallows hard. The height difference alone makes her look cute, but Sucrose is already beautiful in itself, so in his vocabulary, this is a double-kill.
Childe looks around him, the back entrance of her lab where there aren't any souls in sight, and nods.
"So Ajax…" murmuring his name, she leaves a kiss so soft on his lips that it seems like a butterfly has landed on them, just before pulling away and smiling gently at him, "That means you can kiss me more, right?"
That's something he doesn't need to answer. Instead, he takes hold of her waist to draw her closer and taste her lips much more carefully.
To think that someone like her would be able to melt the harsh snowfall days that Snezhnaya has left him as a memory with her sweetness makes him want to cherish her more. Her tiny whine is drowned out between kisses, and Childe knows that it is a sign to take her into his arms and carry her to his car - to a place where no one else can see her the way he does.
He's about to do that when his keen senses hear a flash and right after he hides Sucrose in his chest, turning around to scream at the top of his lungs,
"Fuck, cut the cameras!"
