“I want you,” she says, shaky and defeated. Her gaze falls away from his, shame eating away at her again even if it is bracketed by the warmth of his body against hers. “And I cannot help that I want. Even if it is wrong.” There is no point in fighting this fate they share.
Prometheus laughs, a short sound Melinoë hopes to hear again and again and again.
“It is not wrong to chase what you desire,” he corrects.
