A war between nine Realms and Hel. Hela sent the dead to attack Heaven and gather souls to gain power against Odin's and overthrow him of his thrown. Her army's attack hit hard at heaven even with Angel's and Asgardian soldiers. they stole half the souls from Heaven, half of the remain souls escape by jumping into Space but was soon started get consumed by an wounded Phoenix.
The Phoenix Force, one of the oldest Cosmic entity. Shi'ar an alien race who tried to kill Phoenix but failed and when the wounded Phoenix was on it's way craving Psychic power across galaxy saw the souls jumping out of Heaven and decided to consume them for strength expect for one strange old soul.
James Jasper Maddox (Or JJ as he likes to be called.) was one of the escapees of Heaven and an huge nerd of Marvel, DC and other supernatural stuff . He was punished in Hell for over 20,000 and then came to Heaven and have been here for 400 years and bored out of his mind, that's when the Zombie's attack and he took the chance to jump into the unknown (Space) hoping for a new adventure.
