Work Text:
“Break it up, you lovebirds!” Mina yelled from down the hallway behind Bakugou and Kirishima, who were side by side holding hands.
Bakugou didn’t flinch, only giving her the middle finger with his unoccupied hand while tightening the grip on Kirishima’s hand.
“Just kidding!” Mina then popped up behind the two of them, wrapping her arms around their shoulders. “You guys can do whatever you want, it’s Valentines Day!”
Ever since the promise Bakugou made to Kirishima on New Years, the two of them had been even more inseparable than they were before. Of course it was going to take a while for the two of them to actually display their affection to one another in front of their classmates, but Bakugou figured that he could just beat up anyone who dared oppose.
Despite the weird looks at first, almost everyone didn’t bat an eye after a while. But that was almost everyone. As expected, Mineta was the first to audibly say something, when all of them were hanging out in the common area one day, while Bakugou had his arm wrapped around Kirishima, and Kirishima had his head nuzzled into Bakugou.
“Okay, the hell’s going on here?” Mineta sat up and raised his voice when looking at the two of them.
Practically everyone rolled their eyes at the question, going back to whatever they were doing after stopping to listen to Mineta spouting nonsense.
“What? I can’t be the only one thinking it!” Mineta looked around at the others, then looked at Denki to back him up, but he just responded with looking away.
“You got a problem with it?” Bakugou straightened up on the couch, a small spark arising from his hand.
“I-Uhm..” Mineta fumbled his words when his attention was caught by the explosive beginning to ignite in Bakugou’s hand.
“Dude, just sit down.” Denki grabbed Mineta’s arm, dragging him back down on the couch. Once Mineta was seated, Denki looked back at Kirishima and Bakugou. “Just so you guys know..” Denki gave them a finger gun with a wink. “We support you!”
Kirishima and Bakugou quickly glanced at each other, then looked back at Denki, both giving a “Thanks?” at the same time.
Ever since that day, Mineta only ended up giving weird glances once in a while, but it was nothing that wasn’t expected.
Bakugou and Kirishima spent their Valentine’s Day, since on a Monday, going to class. The day was unbearably long for the two of them, constantly checking the clock to see when the class would end.
At almost the end of the day, Kirishima got a notification from his phone. He quickly picked it up, reading the text on his phone.
Bakugou
meet me at the front of the school after class
i have something i wanna show u <3
Kirishima looked up from his phone, giving a glance at Bakugou before responding.
Kirishima
ooo a valentines day gift?
Bakugou
maybe…;)
Kirishima put his phone back down, looking at the clock, now wishing the day could go even faster than before. His curiosity was killing him and he still had a half an hour before class ended. He struggled to focus on his work when the only thing in the back of his head was what Bakugou had planned for him.
Around 10 minutes before class was about to end, Bakugou raised his hand, asking to be excused to go to the ‘washroom’, which he would just be excused from the rest of class. Kirishima watched as Bakugou left the classroom, heading off to do whatever he had planned. Another notification popped up on Kirishima’s phone.
Bakugou
don’t follow me ^^
Kirishima smiled down at his phone. He never knew Bakugou could be so cute over text.
Kirishima
ok :D
but i will be going to the front of the school as soon as this bell rings so you better hurry up
Bakugou
don’t rush me!! :((
With that, Kirishima laughed to himself, shutting off his phone and mindlessly looked at the front of the room until the bell rang for the end of the day. Kirishima hurriedly packed up his things, and headed straight for the front door. To his surprise, Bakugou was waiting there leaning against a pillar as he waited.
Kirishima went up on his tippy toes, slowly making his way towards Bakugou, wrapping his arms around him once he got close enough. “Helloo~” He leaned his head on Bakugou’s shoulder.
“Hey,” Bakugou gave Kirishima a quick peck on the forehead, then grabbed his hand, “C’mon.”
“We’re wasting no time, huh?” Kirishima laughed, following along behind Bakugou.
“Nope, the food might spoil.”
“The food?-“ Kirishima began saying then they approached their destination.
Bakugou had set up a picnic under a tree. A red blanket splayed along the grass, with a basket, Kirishima could only assume was filled with food, placed in the corner. Plates and utensils right beside the basket.
“Ta da!” Bakugou spread out his arms, presenting what he just spent the past 10 minutes preparing.
“I-“ Kirishima was at a loss of words. This was surely the first time anyone had ever done something like this for him, and this gesture coming from Bakugou made it all the more special for him.
“You..” Bakugou approached Kirishima, grabbing both his hands, pulling him towards the blanket.
“I..I love it.” Kirishima said before sitting down, only managing to say that much.
“Good,” Bakugou smiled, sitting down beside Kirishima and the basket. “I’m glad.”
Kirishima was still astounded, almost blanking as he watched Bakugou take out the food from the basket. He had made bento boxes…
“Hey?” Bakugou waved his hand in front of Kirishima’s face, trying to bring him back to reality. “Anyone there?”
Kirishima snapped back into reality, shaking his head briefly. “Hey, sorry.” He laughed, a hand rubbing the back of his neck. “Just spaced out for a second.”
“Is it too much?” Bakugou looked around, a worried expression on his face.
“No!” Kirishima grabbed Bakugou’s head with his two hands, sandwiching him. “it’s perfect.”
Bakugou nodded, a proud expression on his face. “You’re welcome.”
Kirishima let go of Bakugou’s head and seated himself back down to where he was before. Bakugou placed a bento box with utensils in front of Kirishima, and one in front of himself.
“Thanks,” Kirishima took the box and opened it, separating his chopsticks after doing so. He quietly wondered when Bakugou had the time to put all of this together, then it hit him. “Wait, is this what you’ve been doing for the past two nights?”
Bakugou looked up, “Yup, everything in there, I made myself!” He pointed to the box.
“Ah, my boyfriend’s so impressive.” Kirishima said thoughtlessly, looking at the variety of food presented to him in the box.
Bakugou dropped his head down, starting to eat his food, not daring to look up.
Kirishima looked over at Bakugou’s dropped head, trying to see Bakugou’s expression. “Are you blushing because I called you my..” Kirishima nudged his shoulder, “Boyfriend?” He joked.
“N-no!” Bakugou picked his head back up, “I-it’s just hot out!”
“Suree…” Kirishima placed his hand on Bakugou’s heated cheek.
“Just eat, please.” Bakugou took a bite of his rice. “I spent a lot of time on it.”
“Of course.” Kirishima picked his box up again, and began eating.
They continued in silence, but it wasn’t uncomfortable at all, since they spend almost every second together, and there’s only so much they can talk about, they found that there were occasionally these quiet moments between the two of them. But they didn’t mind since they were in each others company.
Bakugou looked over at Kirishima who’s eyes were glued on the box, almost memorizing all of the grains of rice and fish. Bakugou tilted his head while resting it on his hand, then he saw a grain of rice on the corner of Kirishima’s mouth, he laughed to himself before taking it off.
Kirishima jumped at the unexpected contact, looking at Bakugou with wide eyes.
“Sorry,” Bakugou threw the grain into the grass beside them. “You had a piece of rice on your face.”
“Oh,” Kirishima gently touched his cheek as if it was still there. “Thanks.” He smiled, looking back at the box.
“Hey!” Bakugou tried getting his attention again, which Kirishima just looked back up at him, tilting his head in confusion. “You know Kisses?”
“Hmm?” Kirishima put his hand on his chin, pretending to think. “You mean the things I give you?” Kirishima began crawling over to try and kiss Bakugou, but a hand appeared between their lips, which Kirishima backed up, raising an eyebrow.
“No, like the chocolate.” Bakugou dropped his hand and went looking in the basket. He pulled out a bag of the chocolates. “I got these at the store.”
“Ah..” Kirishima leaned forward. about to grab them, before Bakugou snatched his hand away.
“Nope, I have an idea.”
In which Kirishima just responded with him tilting his head in confusion.
“You can have all you want, but you can’t use your hands to eat them.” Bakugou smirked.
“Oh?” Kirishima stood up straight. “Okay, let’s do it.”
Bakugou only responded with a giddy smile. “Okay, okay.”
He first placed one down on the blanket, scooting back to see what Kirishima would do. Kirishima put his hands behind his back, and as expected, he went down to grab the chocolate with his teeth. Once he got it in his mouth, he sat back up.
As he was chewing it, he said with a full mouth. “These are good!”
“Yup!” Bakugou ate one, then placed another one on the blanket, this time closer to him.
Kirishima continued to eat the chocolate, the third piece Bakugou placed was on his shoulder, which Kirishima slowly approached him, keeping his eyes locked to Bakugou’s as he ate the one on his shoulder. An audible gulp was heard from the blonde as soon as Kirishima backed away.
“Ok..Last one..” Bakugou said before taking one out of the bag.
“But you said I could have all I want?” Kirishima pouted.
“You can have the whole bag after this one, I promise.” Bakugou smiled. He then placed the Kiss in his mouth, letting a little bit of it hang out so Kirishima could still take it.
So this was your plan… Kirishima thought to himself before approaching Bakugou again. He licked his lips as he came closer. He leaned in, grabbing the chocolate from Bakugou’s mouth, barely even making contact with Bakugou’s lips.
“And I’ll take those..” Kirishima said with a smirk as he took the bag of Kiss’ from Bakugou’s hand. “Thank youuu,”
“I-“ Bakugou was baffled, watching as Kirishima started taking the chocolates out of the bag.
“Oh? I’m sorry, were you expecting something else?” Kirishima smiled, knowing he just ruined Bakugou’s plan. “Something like..”
Kirishima leaned to Bakugou once again, letting his hand rest on his chin as he went to kiss him. “Something like that?” Kirishima continued.
“I hate you,” Bakugou said while exhaling.
“No you don’t~” Kirishima smiled.
“You’re right.” Bakugou smiled back, lifting his hands to cup the back of Kirishima’s neck, pulling him in for another kiss, this time deeper.
He leaned back, causing the two of them to fall backwards onto the blanket. Bakugou moved his hands down to hug Kirishima’s waist. Kirishima smiled into the kiss, letting their tongues explore each others mouths briefly.
“Ok,” Kirishima pulled away breathlessly, “Maybe we shouldn’t do this outside.”
“You’re right.” Bakugou sat himself back up, straightening up his shirt. “Why don’t we go back to your room and play some video games?”
“Yeah,” Kirishima nodded, “And If I win, I get to kiss you.”
“Sounds like a deal.”
