Work Text:

Class 1-A was having a peaceful study session for their upcoming quiz on Monday. All of them have their textbooks out, each one of them talking among themselves and the students grouped for different subjects led by Iida, Bakugou, Momo, Todoroki, and Midoriya to make their session a little easier; Iida with their Law subject, Bakugou with their English, Momo with Economics, Todoroki with History, and Midoriya with Mathematics.

Everything was peaceful.

"Who the hell thought of adding the alphabet to mathematic equations? I want to go back in time and stop them! This is outrageous!" Mina cried, pulling her hair in frustration.

"I searched it up and it said it was Francois Viete," Midoriya chuckled nervously when Mina started to cuss out the historical figure.

On the other side of the room, Denki complained with his eyebrows furrowed. "What's the difference between adverb and verb? What the fuck is an adjective?!"

"Idiot! How did you graduate secondary school if you don't know?!" Bakugou yelled, throwing their notes at his face.

"I hate history, I hate this subject. I hate everything inside of this thick book. Who even likes history?!" Tooru screamed, pressing her history book tightly as if she could strangle it.

Todoroki raised his hand, "I do. Did you guys know that the pyramids were built by drunks? They paid the slaves with beers."

In the center of the room, Sero let his head slam to the table, "Biology is cool and all, but how am I supposed to know if Dolly's clone is her mother, sibling, or whatnot?! They're a clone!"

See? It was a peaceful day for them. Despite their complaints, they were learning with their top students' guidance. Everything was going great for the class. Except that the universe must've hated their guts because a bright light flew straight from their window to hit Midoriya, the ever-loving Problem Child.

"Midoriya! What was that?!"

They called out, rising immediately to their feet and taking their fighting stances. The few people near him moved away when green smoke covered their classmate.

"Is it a villain attack?!" they panicked. They couldn't see him quite yet with the smoke filling his place. They held their breaths, waiting for the smoke to clear up.

"Ow..." Midoriya winced and let out a cough, rubbing his head with his eyes closed. He was finally out of the smoke. "I feel weird..." he muttered, opening his eyes slowly.

"Me too..." another Midoriya muttered, rubbing their eyes—

Wait. Another Midoriya?

"Agh!!! There's two of them!" Uraraka squealed, pointing her fingers between the two green-haired teens in front of them.

"Is that a clone?!"

"Midoriya! Get away from him!"

"He's going to kill you!"

"He's going to die!"

"Call Aizawa-sensei! Iida, go quickly!"

The whole class screamed, frantically trying to pull him away from the newcomer in their dorm. Iida immediately ran away to call for their teachers without a moment of hesitation. In a second, their front door was open, and out he goes like Sonic running to take a shit.

The only way they knew who the original Izuku was from his sitting position earlier.

But Izuku, the original, didn't mind. He just stared at their newcomer with curiosity and interest. He fixed his gaze at his look-a-like, observing every similarity they have. They literally look-a-like with the same face, same hair, same freckles, and same clothes. It looks like he's in front of a mirror. "Interesting..." he muttered to himself.

The fake Izuku did the same. Although, he was amused more than anything else. He grinned, his hands to his back and his head leaning forward closer to the original, hoping to get a reaction out of him.

Izuku didn't budge and stayed in his place. His eyes twinkled, noticing the four unnecessarily large freckles at each side of their cheeks. The clone has noticed it too, a wider grin making its way to his lips.

"Cool." They both said, nodding to themselves as if they just acknowledged each other's presence.

"Midoriya! Get away from him! Clones kill the original! He's going to kill you!" Ojiro warned him. That fact has been circulating for centuries. It was not yet proven if it's real or not, but where's the fun in not believing in those kinds of things?

The original Izuku frowned, looking at his classmates before looking at his clone, "Wait, really?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

The other Izuku shrugged, "That's kind of my job." he monotones, tilting his head to the side as well, "I'm nice, though. You can run first."

Izuku blinked.

"Midoriya, run! Quickly! We'll fight him off!" his class shouts, all of them attacking him one after another. But the other Midoriya seemed to have the original's quirk and skills, evading their attacks as easy as breathing.

"GET YOUR ASS HERE, YOU FAKE ASS BITCH! I'LL KILL YOUR WEAK ASS!" Bakugou screamed with explosions from his palms.

The clone rolled his eyes and grabbed his right hook, redirecting Bakugou's attack and letting his momentum stumble him to a wall. With that, he focused his attention on his original.

"Midoriya! What are you doing?! Run!" his class yelled.

Original Izuku immediately settled between his class and his clone, "It's fine guys, calm down!" he voiced out, smiling brightly when his class took a step back.  "I doubt that he'll kill me, don't worry. I still have a lot of questions to ask him," he smiled, grabbing his notebook out of thin air.

Momo frowned, "But—"

"Good point. I honestly don't want to replace your position here, I'd die even if I replace you. They like us, or you too much." The original blushed from the clone's statement, "and it will not satisfy me even if I kill you, you don't even have the will to live." Other Midoriya hummed, sitting on one of their dorm's couches.

"He doesn't have the what now?" Sero's mouth hangs open.

"Sero please close your mouth, you might catch a fly. You're not a fly trap," Mina chuckled and Sero immediately blushed.

"Let's not get into my will to live," Original Midoriya grimaced before facing his clone. "So, me. Do you have all of My Memories? Where did you come from? Are you a quirk? If you are, is there a time limit on how long your form takes? If there is a time limit, what happens to you? Do you just disappear as if you didn't exist? Is it a requirement for clones to kill the originals? Do they take their forms permanently after they killed them?"

His clone frowned, his brow creased and his eyes narrowed, "You're taking this too calmly for my liking—"

"If you're my clone, are you my twin? What are you made of? Do you have organs and tissues? Or are you made out of other substances? Do we have the same genetic code? And if you do kill me, is it considered suicide or murder? Because I can honestly settle for both—"

"Deku, breath! And please don't let yourself be killed!" Uraraka pleaded.

The original took a deep breath, his cheeks turning red from embarrassment and lack of oxygen. "Right, I forgot," he laughed nervously.

The clone pursed his lips, nodding his head as he looks to the side as if he just realized something, "Now I understand why people get mad at us for muttering too much," he whispered to himself.

"Anyways—"

The door slammed open before he could say another word. He frowned, staring at his owner along with the pro-heroes. A girl stood behind the pro-heroes.

"Problem Child!" Aizawa-sensei called, marching straight to their common room.

"Hello, Aizawa-sensei!" Both Midoriya's greeted, standing side by side.

Aizawa narrowed his eyes, staring at the Midoriyas in front of him. The two were so much alike; their cheerful smiles that reach their ears, the shine in their eyes, their freckles that scattered their cheeks, and their height.

They were both short.

"Which one of you is the real Midoriya?" he sighed, crossing his arms.

One of them shrugged, "I have an existential crisis every day. We have the same memories and experiences, for all I know I could be the fake or the original. Only one of the two, of course." he shrugged.

The other nodded, "That's true. I honestly don't know if I'm the clone or the original. I'm not even sure if the one I want to kill is him or myself." he added.

Aizawa grumbled under his breath. If he could slam his head to the wall and die, he would have done it already the moment he took a step inside their dorm.

"Oh my Gosh! I'm so sorry!" The 3rd year GenEd student ran from behind Aizawa, bowing her head at a 90° angle, "I was having a hangover and I activated my quirk by accident, I'm really sorry!" she squeaked.

"Ahm, Shizuku-san, how do we fix this mess?" All Might asked from behind.

"O-Oh! The original should kill the clone or else the clone will kill the Original... That's all..." she answered, fidgeting her fingers when the others looked at her in horror.

God, she hated living in this moment. She hopes the floor would open up and eat her whole to take her out of her misery.

And apparently, the victim was thinking the same.

"You're technically newborn, right?" The original asked, "You should kill me and experience the world for yourself," he faced his clone and gave him a knife hidden from his pocket.

The clone smiled, giving back the knife he was given, "No, thank you. I'm already suffering from your memories alone and I do not wish to continue to do so," he confessed.

The original chuckled with his eyes closed, returning the knife to his look-a-like, "No, I insist. I hope you will have a fun and fulfilling experience in my place,"

"No—"

"FUCK! THIS IS GETTING US NOWHERE! CAN'T WE JUST KILL THE NERD AND GET IT OVER WITH?!" Bakugou yelled from the class.

Shizuku grimaced, "No, either one of them should... you know, stab the other or else it wouldn't work..." she explained, ignoring the students looking at her with pale complexions.

"That's a pretty gruesome quirk," one of them muttered.

"That's a cool quirk," Izuku muttered, putting his finger at his chin, "Although it is kind of immoral unless, with their consent, you could make a clone out of a dying person... Unless they clone with the same condition. There are a lot of possibilities for that quirk, you can clone villains and at least get one of them to interrogate." he mumbled.

His clone agreed, tapping his foot with his eyes flickering in excitement, "That's true, but it could backfire on us if we couldn't catch one of them. Although it could be useful for psychological torture, or any torture really. We're not really doing anything illegal because we're using their clones instead of their originals. Besides—"

Izuku looked up to his clone, raising his brow in confusion and dropping his hand to the side, "But aren't you a clone? Are you okay with being tortured?"

The other raised his brow in a similar manner, "But I thought you were the clone?" he asked, dumbfounded.

Izuku furrowed his brows, tilting his head, "Even if I were, you're okay with me being tortured?" he asked in return.

The other blinked, opening his mouth and raising his finger before closing his mouth. He just stared at the other with a stoic expression.

"JUST KILL EACH OTHER, DAMN IT!" Bakugou yelled, pulling his hair in pure rage. "THERE'S TWO FUCKING DEKU AND I CAN'T STAND SEEING TWO OF THESE FUCKERS!"

Aizawa sighed, holding the two with his capture weapon. He faced the 3rd year student, "Is there any other way for us to resolve this?" he grumbled in annoyance, not directly at her, but at the situation in their hands.

Shizuku nodded, looking to the side, "I mean I could only make one clone at a time... So maybe if I make a clone of another one, the one we currently have will disappear..." she answered.

"Does it have to be a human person? Or it could be anything in general? Hmm, I guess not. It bounced off by the window but the window didn't get a clone so maybe—"

"Problem Child, not now." Aizawa scolded, glaring at him with his quirk active.

Izuku pursed his lips and nodded immediately, "Right."

"I mean... As long as it's a living being I can make another clone..." Shizuku answered, combing her hair with trembling hands. God, she wanted to leave the place already.

The other pro-heroes already left, seeing that the situation is already being handled by Aizawa-sensei and All Might.

Aizawa nodded, sighing in relief and agony if that both made sense. "We're going to look for a substitute—"

"I-I have a pet rabbit, y-you could c-clone that..." Koda interrupted with his hand raised. He's been containing his excitement since he heard that Shizuku could make another clone. He has always wanted a clone of his pet rabbit Molly.

"Alright, let's go with that..." Shizuku muttered.

"Koda, please get your pet," Aizawa said, and Koda could be seen running as fast as Iida when he ran to his room.

"Koda! Please no running in the dorm!" Iida scolded.

"Aww, am I going to leave soon?" The clone pouted, squirming in the capture scarf he was stuck to.

"You can still kill me and you won't have to," Izuku hummed.

Aizawa rubbed the side of his head, he was already having a massive headache. "Problem Child, stop trying to die," he grumbled. He's going to die early one of these days. God, he wants to follow Oboro to the afterlife.

"Okay," Izuku answered back.

Koda returned with his pet rabbit in hand, "H-Here she is..." he gave the rabbit to the third year.

Izuku eyed his clone, wiggling his eyebrows, "Still not going to kill me?"

His clone rolled his eyes, "I'd rather die than suffer from your life every day, you break your bones too often," he stuck out his tongue.

Izuku nodded and shrugged, "Fair point."

"Here goes nothing..." Shizuku took a deep breath and activated her quirk directed to the bunny.

Aizawa thought it was just going to be easy after this is all over, but no. If the universe hates Class 1-A, then the universe must absolutely loathe him.

The clone grinned, managing to free his hand and swatting Shizuku's hands before her quirk was fired.

"God damn it, Problem Child!" Aizawa grumbled.

"That wasn't me!" Izuku squealed, closing his eyes shut. His clone, on the other hand, laughed in pure delight.

The light bounced off their dorm. The class screeched and ducked, covering their heads with tables and their textbooks. It continued to go on for a minute or two.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Shizuku cried, tears and snot covering her face.

"Farewell~" His clone purred once the light finally bounced onto someone. The clone disappeared like a bubble in Aizawa's scarf.

"Izuku's clone is finally gone!" the class cheered.

Aizawa took a deep breath, "Finally," he groaned, releasing Izuku from his capture weapon. His suffering was finally over—

"HAAAAA?!?! WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT YOU FUCKER?!"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY, MOTHERFUCKER?!"

He looked to his side, and sure enough, there was a clone of Bakugou.

"I'LL KILL YOU!!!"

"DIE!!!"

Aizawa, for the first time, wanted to cry.
