Lydia looked up and glared at Beetlejuice as he threw a paper airplane at her from the hall. “Can I help you with something?” She asked.
“Yes, you can!” Beetlejuice walked into her room with their shared Nintendo Switch. Lydia didn’t play it super often, so it was mostly his. “You said I could show you my island when you got home. Remember?”
“Right. Okay. Come sit and show me.”
Beetlejuice grinned as he sat next to her and turned the game on.
“This is UggoLand.”
“UggoLand?”
“Short for Ugly Island.”
“Interesting name. Is that you?”
“Yup!” Beetlejuice’s character was dressed like a zombie pirate and had green spiky hair, tired looking eyes, and no shoes on.
“Nice color scheme.”
Most of the flowers were black, white, or green, with the exception of a few purple or red ones here and there. “Thank you!”
“Is that blood on the floor in front of that gravestone?”
“Yeah. Here lies, Raymond. He annoyed me, so he had to go.”
“Naturally.”
“Here’s two of my villagers! This is Hippeux and Gaston.”
“I think I understand the meaning of UggoLand now.”
Beetlejuice giggled. “I wanna show you my house!” His character ran into a fully upgraded black and white house. “Here’s the kitchen.”
“With 5 fridges, I see. And pancakes on the floor.”
“5 fridges are a necessity. The pancakes are for the roaches. And this back room is for you if you ever wanna play and stay in my house!”
The next room Beetlejuice showed her was as close to a replica of Lydia’s real life room as you could get from a game. There was even a teddy bear in the corner! (The teddy bear was from her mom. She could never get rid of it.)
“You’re sweet.”
Beetlejuice made a face. “Ew! No, I’m sour and rotten !”
“No, you’re sweet. Even if you won’t admit it.”
Beetlejuice stuck his tongue out at her. “Let’s go annoy Truffles.”
