Eleven-year-old Lydia Deetz doesn’t talk. She doesn’t see the point.
Ever since Mama died, she’s been invisible. Every attempt to reach out to her father has been rebuffed. Every adult she’s confided in just made things worse.
So now, she’s done. If nobody cares enough to listen, then she isn’t going to waste the effort to speak. Existence is exhausting enough without wasting energy on something that would just be ignored.
As far as her father and so-called ‘life coach’ are aware, Lydia hasn’t said a word in months.
After they make their abrupt move to Connecticut–yet another thing that Dad did without caring how Lydia felt about it–Lydia finds out that the new house is haunted by a very kind ghost couple who quickly take a shine to the quiet little girl.
It’s also haunted by a certain demon who would really like Lydia to start talking again, if only to say his name three times. -

It's a warm September night when Donny, the twin yet totally opposite brother of Betelgeuse, brings their blended family on a dream adventure to the stars. That night, Richard reveals a secret to Lydia that will change her and Astrid's lives for years to come.
While Lydia works with Betelgeuse and former ACU chief Wolf Jackson in the background to unravel that secret, they have to keep Astrid in the dark, focused on her own life, not her father's death.
As Astrid grows up, she graduates high school, goes to college, and tries to figure out her future. And that future has never been more uncertain when she’s suddenly confronted with the conspiracy surrounding Richard's demise in the Amazon. Steadfast at her side, Donny has to balance helping his best friend reveal the truth while keeping Astrid from following Richard’s footsteps into an early grave.
This story is a sequel, picking up right where “The Sicilians” left off. It combines characters and events from the cartoon, films, and events from the first story “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice: Revelations & Resurrections” which is part of this “Home is where the haunt is” series.
